2005: Very significant and distinctive aroma of malti-sweetness. Dark copper color with not too impressive head formation and retention (not surprising due to high -OH content. Strong nutty/vanilla taste. Even almondy. Very nice, complex experience for a desert beer. Well done.

Poured nice, dark copper with sufficient head...unfortunately, lacked any significant retention with little lacing. Balance a little off in favor of mroe hop tannins that I'd expect.

Wonderful dark copper pour with ample head, good retention, and nice lacing. Delicately balanced and fully malty tonies. Full flavor with carmelly-nutty finish.

Pours well with straw color and moderate head. Fresh aroma with delicate hop balance. Fully flavor with nutty finish. Clean finish. Did wonderfully with salmon.

Pours very nice red/amber. Good head formation with moderate retention and slight lacing. Fruity and toasty aroma. Substantial Belgian ale flavor with good balance.
