Pours very nice red/amber. Good head formation with moderate retention and slight lacing. Fruity and toasty aroma. Substantial Belgian ale flavor with good balance.

a bit on the generic side, and although i expected it to malt-heavy a little too sweet and too much of a one trick pont for my taste. not bad, but not good either.

Lived in Austin 94-96, and tried this beer for the first time at the original Celis Brewery years ago. Was delighted to see it available again and included it in KCC 6. Red-amber body, rocky tan head, sticky foam. Sweet base, some sour notes, and highlights of alcohol. Sharp, grainy aftertaste high in the palate. I really want to like this beer, but honestly, I am not in a hurry to have another.

Pours a deep amber (much darker than expected) with a low off-white head. Aroma is dark fruit and spice. Mouthfeel is full and round. Flavor is malty, fruity. All around I thought this one was pretty good!

Reddish amber color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty, fruity and spicy. A medium to light bodied ëBelgian Aleí. Malts are fruity and sweet. Spicy and sweet. Nicely malty and fruity. Iím not sure that I would call this beer a bock or a Belgian ale, but it is tasty and I wonít mind drinking a bunch of it. Well balanced. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle. Amber coloured with smallish off-white head. Great aroma, bread, butter, vanilla and toffee. Taste is sour initially, a bit disappointing after the aroma. Acidic and malty, yet mild. Thin bodied. Average.
