Good resemblance of a stronger blonde-farmhouse ale. Grassy, earthy, and wheat flavors. Mildly hopped. Semi-cloudy, medium pale yellow appearance. Alcohol bite hidden somewhat for 9.5%. Not quite my style, but definitely worth the try.

Pours out a cloudy yellow color with a massive white foamy head. The aroma is of spice and fruit maybe banana. The mouthfeel is very thick and rich. The taste is very smooth for such a high abv. Taste like malt, yeasts, fruit and spice.

An occluded orange sunshine in color. A big frothy textured white head rising above. There's some hang time. A thin ringlet is left. A subdued spice, yeast and a nice candy sweetness nose. The tasting is more of the same profile and more intense, though not unpleasantly so. Well carbonated and effervescent.

First pour is crystal clear but by the amount of sediment sitting on the bottom of the bottle I’m guessing the second pour will be murky. Bronzey body with a fluffy cap. Aroma is apple, yeast, spice, toasty wheat...... I can’t shake the smell of birthday cake. Taste is smooth and lively. Sweet with lemon and other citrus, heavy malts, caramel, pepper. Incredibly drinkable. Slight hint of bitter in the finish. So very mucky now after next pour. Now that the beer is room temp and the muck is in the glass the lemon has gone away and been replaced by a fruitiness. Not a single fault with this beer.

This poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some lemons, alcohol, spices, and herbal notes. The flavor is a bit sour with a strong citrus presence. The spices are a little overdone in this one to be very enjoyable. Is it ginger I’m tasting? Not 100% sure but overall its ok but not my cup of beer.

I'm looking forward to having this Belgium Ale again. The aroma is light and yeasty. The beer itself is cloudy, bubbly, flavorful and sweet. While the mouthfeel is a little light, it is also playful and very drinkable.

Beer 10 of my 12 Beers of Christmas. Beautiful ale: hazy orange pour with a tight white head that leaves heavy lacing throughout. Sweet and tropical fruit aroma: peaches, mangoes, some pineapple, Belgian yeasts, earthy hops. Taste is lightly sweet and fruity with more peaches and mangoes, lightly funky Belgian yeasts, light hops. Excellent collaboration beer.

Sampled on 10/22/2011. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 750ml corked and caged bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with decent retention. The aroma is fruity, peaches and apricots, sweet and yeasty. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity, sweet, apricots and peaches, yeasty and sweet. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. Smooth taste. Hint of orange. Perhaps a touch of funk. Very drinkable Belgian ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Nice aroma with some barnyard funk and grass to go along with some citrus and pine hops. Flavor has fruit, and floral notes along with belgian yeasts and malt sweetness, thankfully its not overly sweet. Nice collaboration, from two good brewers.

another hit from Ommegang. This one has a vibrant fruity hoppy aroma, and a flavor to match. dry citrus abounds, and it's incredibly drinkable. for such a strong beer, the alcohol isn't even noticed.
