Comes out of the tap a coppery amber with a fine-bubbled, fairly persistent white head. Spicy, malty aroma is rather inviting, saying "Gimme a try!" Flavor is malty, spicy, fruity and a little woody - maybe not downright lip-smacking, but definitely pleasant. Texture is lively, tingly and woody. Prosit!

Top tier Oktoberfest from Stoudts. Amazed at how good this is. Malts and noble hops are in harmony and the clean sweetness is amazing. Great example.

This poured a dark golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some corn, grass, and caramel. The flavor is rather malty with some corn, citrus, and caramel showing up. Overall this doesnt seem much like an O-fest but a decent beer nonetheless.

A nice clear light orange amber pour with a frothy white head that leaves a cap and ring along with some lazy lacing throughout. A bit of Noble-type hops upfront in the aroma, somewhat like a pilsner, grassy and slight citrus, with a bit of sweet malts. Taste is much like the aroma with some hops upfront, then a nice light malt balance then some more slight hops and a slight bitter linger.

A clear amber colored beer. A frothy textured off white head rises modestly above. Decent hang time transiting from a light film/ringlet to nothing at all. I do sit on my beers awhile. The nose is bready with a slight bittering. There is a nice malt, grassy flavoring to a light, crisp very good marzen.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a big dimpled mug. There is no noticeable freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: It has a deep rich golden body with visible carbonation and good clarity. A two finger thick and foamy white head sits on top. It slowly fades to a thin layer that hangs on well and some slick lacing. Smell: The aroma is light and has a delicate light grain note with a slight hint of spicy hops. Taste/Palate: It has a crisp pale biscuity malt with some light roasted notes as well. There is a mild sweetness from the malt and a nice equal balance of bitterness and leafy/grassy/spicy hop flavor notes. It finishes crisply with a slight balance towards the bitter hop side. The palate has a medium body with plenty of active carbonation. Notes: Stoudts has an extremely drinkable crisp body and nice simple flavor that I could drink plenty of with some soft sour dough pretzels and mustard.

Bottle: Fresh sample. Pours a deep amber orange lager in the glass. Sticky white cap lasts and laces well. Aroma of baked bread, herbs and caramel..very nice! Great bready-toasty-nutty malts infront are played off with some substantial woody-herbal hopping....big finish...bready and yet drying. good interpretation of the style

I love Oktoberfest style beers and I like seeing U.S. breweries doing there versions. Very good!

This was very smooth tasting as well as a little on the sweet side-a very satisfying and enjoyable taste. There was a nice hint of hops in the aroma and also somewhat nutty. The appearance was a dull orange coloring with a head that disappated very quickly.

Oh yea, it is the season for Oktoberfest brews and I am looking forward to this representation of the style by this brewery. The aroma is malty and biscuity with some sweetness as well as some mustiness. The appearance is a bronze-orange in color when held to the light with a nice foamy head on top that is very carbonated and has quality head retention (other beerpals have commented on the head because there is none and it diminished quickly; maybe this issue was addressed this year around but anyway) and is an off-white in color and remains becoming rocky while it is consumed. The mouthfeel is light-bodied which is surprising to me with some quality malty complexity as well as some caramelly balance with a palate that is a bit thin. The flavor is malty, sweet, caramelly, musty, as well as spicy to some extent with an aftertaste that is malty with some breadiness and a finish that is a bit thin and not as filling as it should be. Overall, not a bad representation of the style but I have had much better; I will even venture to say Sam Adams' variation of this style is a bit better...decent brew here.
