The southampton Saison was a hopped up Saison that was very enjoyable. It was a slightly different take on the traditional Saison and it was very well done! I enjoyed the balance of spicy and fruity. There was hops and orange notes that balanced nicely. A well done belgium from a great brewery.

Pale gold color, nice head and lacing. Strong aroma of peach and fruit. Flavor is sweet and really peppery, with some peach and a strong hop finish. Perhaps the hoppiest saison yet for me. Rich full mouthfeel. Good!

This is an excellent saison. I haven't had any other Southampton beers, but if they're all as good as this, this is an excellent brewery. Peach and madarin orange on the nose. Cloudy yellow tan. Very fruity, almost orange juice like. Really interesting. The only drawback is that it's a little thick.

Apricot colored brew raising a big bubbled white head. Nose is yeasty with lots of tropical fruit. Flavor is big and fruity with some peppery notes. A little grassiness also. Pretty good brew.

Tap at the Blind Tiger. Cloudy golden with a thick white head. Foamy but not too much so. Smell has citrus, wheat, lemon, banana and orange peel. The orange peel is wonderful in the taste. Man this brewery does Belgian styles so well. This is no exception. My current favorite Saison.

Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices (cardamom, coriander), citrus, and yeast. Taste of more citrus, lots of spices, vanilla, lemongrass, yeast and light pepper in the background.

This golden pour has all the earthy, wet grass and other smells and tastes one expects in a very good saison.

On tap at Blind Tiger in NYC. I thoroughly enjoyed this one from the outset. When the bartender slapped this one down on the bar and demanded payment, I knew this one would be great. This beer had a lemony color of a sunrise as seen through mildly turbid water. Being topped with a frothy white head only heightened the sensation. Flavor was smooth and tasty, something that is meant to be savored. In my book, Southampton is a great brewery for having brewed this one.

The aroma is alcohol, peaches, and apricots. An orange appearance with a good amount of carbonation. The flavor is pretty yeasty with mainly oranges and peaches. Some other citrus is also present. I really enjoyed this one.
