(Tasting at Solano Cellars 07/25/09) Huge frothy head. Golden color. Yeasty-flavor. Rotten egg like aroma. Ehh.

Removed the cork cage and seconds later the cork exploded to the ceiling by itself. Next few seconds foam started oozing out. Cloudy golden color with huge white head that lasted to the end. Excellent lacing too. Medium strength aroma of Belgium yeast and a little bit of acidity. Flavor starts off nice and smooth with spice, wheat and yeast. Then some bitterness bites around the edge of my tongue. Tastes like a Hefe Weizen. The finish is a bit tart. Refreshing summer time brew. Just beware of the built up pressure when you attempt to uncork.

Dupont Saison, on tap at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse near Robinson Township. Thanks to mtoast. I really enjoy the variety of saisons I’ve had in the past and was really looking forward to trying this. This beer pours a pale yellow; tho slightly hazy I do not see any particles floating around in there. It has a creamy white foam head of about one inch or less. The aroma is beery and yeasty, just like many other beers – nothing special, just plain old beer smell. The flavor is complex and interesting, difficult to define. Initially this brew comes on slightly hoppy with light to medium bitterness. Then it rapidly fades to a mild sweetness and unrefined taste that keeps your attention. Very nice, enjoyable and different than anything I can recall. This almost reminds me of the taste of homemade Italian wine, the kind with dark and light grapes mixed together. Does this have hints of aged moldy wood from an old unpainted barnyard fence, in an attractive manner? Indescribable! The medium bitterness builds on the back of your tongue as you continue to drink. The feel of this beer is almost buttery smooth with medium to low carbonation. Tho the bitterness builds on the finish, it is definitely not a repulsive medicinal quality like IPA or imp stout. The alky content is well hidden. Finish is generally OK with a medium bitter linger. Overall a decent saison but I think Yards saison and Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere may have a taste and enjoyability better than this brew.

33cl bottle at Rataskaevu 16, Tallinn. Hazy golden to orange with a large and lasting white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with spicy notes and hints of citrus. Moderate sweet with nice fruity and yeasty flavours, balanced acidity and a slightly dry finish. It was certainly about time to try this one again. Refreshing and quite delicious!

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow with a huge fluffy white head. Citrus fruit and sour grain, acidic to the nose. Slightly sour, peppery/spice tingle to the taste buds. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The cork damn near took my head off!Big white fine beaded head that is cconstantly building!A highly carbonated brew!Thousands of tiny bubbles constantly rising to keep the head alive.Lots of sticky laceing.Haazy pale gold color.Earthy, bready spicey nose.Light bodied, spritzy.Fruity, yeasty flavors and some peppery notes also.Finish is bone dry.Great warm weather brew, except maybe for that little 6.5% alc. thingy going on,DOH!

Pours out cloudy yellow with a massive white head that lingers forever. The aroma is very skunky. The mouthfeel feel is nice and thick. The taste is mellow and clean but not that very interesting. This beer has the longest lasting head I've ever seen.

Pours a huge foamy white head. Has slightly hazy orange appearance with tons of bubbles. Fairly excessive carbonation. Thick patchy lacing. Strong aromas of wheats, grains, herbal hops as well as citrus and floral hops. Kinda smells like someone just smoked some weed in the other room. Some orange, citrus hop flavours abound with very tangy hints of lemon/lime. What seems like coriander, hard to pinpoint. Yeasty like taste, mainly in the finish. Has a tarty, astringent mouthfeel. Full bodied. Fairly large enough difference between aromas and flavours.
