Somewhat soury rice aroma. Clear body still body. Thin body. Flavor leaning on the side of alcohol. Biggest thing this has going for it is that the filtering probably makes it a heck of a lot smoother than it would be if it wasn’t.

300ml bottle. Clear still body. Served chilled. Aroma of light rubbing alcohol. Thick body. Flavors sweet at first, then black pepper mixed with the forementioned rubbing alcohol. Burning on the back of the throat. Clean palate and aftertaste. Would like to try this with some food to see how that impacts the flavor profile. (After the sake had warmed up for another five minutes in my glass the rubbing alcohol aspect is a lot more muted. )

300ml bottle. Very slight hint of yellow color. Still sake. Very peppery aroma. Watery consistency. Again lots of pepper in the flavor, laced with light amount of alcohol. Somewhat sweet finish. Taru sake is aged in cedar and there is definately a cedar "twang" to this in the aftertaste.

Non-carbonated. Served chilled. Nice golden yellow color, like a white wine. Pleasing aroma with ever so slight pluminess to it. At first taste you clearly taste the sweetness of the plum extract, but it finishes with an unmistakable rice flavor to it. Body is nice. Not too thin, but not syrupy like some sakes can be. If it didn’t have the rice aftertaste you might fool me into thinking this is a white wine w/plum in it. The first sake I’ve had that I’m likely to buy again!

First experience with carbonated sake. Pleasant aroma. Reminds me of a lightly fragrant Chenin Blanc. Flavors of dough mixed with a bit of alcohol to it. Not overly sweet, but interestingly sweet. Interestin aftertaste lingering on the palate. Definately see how this would be good with a spicy spider roll.
