Very light, bright orange sunshine in color. A small frothy textured, white head rises above. Not much hang time on the head. And no lacing left behind. Fruity and dank yeasty nose. Light wheatiness and coriander in the tasting. Not very inventive. Moderate body.

Among a group of beers that were given to me by my wife's sister. This was certainly my favourite of the group. Lots of must and earth in the smell with minor notes of citrus. The flavor is really the same. Earthy and musty with light fruit throughout. Quite a balance between the dryness and flavor.

Sampled at #KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Hazy amber-orange pour with ample white head, good lacing. Funky yeasty aroma, some fruits, slight hefe yeast nose - nice complex aroma. Refreshing flavor: fruity, funky yeasty, slightly zesty. VERY worthy.

Bottled in 2010: This beer quickly pulled me in and unveiled the delicate awesomeness it offers. A brilliant golden orange body providing a huge white head and thick lacing, it sparkles in the glass. Fruity and spicy aromas with a mildly funky yeast scent that is reminiscent of Orval. Medium bodied with some warmth and a noble hop bite. Flavor is moderately hoppy (Saaz perhaps) with some peppery spice and passion fruits. A mild barnyard tartness also pushes through once again leading me to a similarity to Orval. Grapefruit and lemon are present in the aftertaste. Amazingly good.

Aroma is strong and yeasty with a fruity undertone that has both apple and banana components. It pours a nice clear yellowish amber with a fairly thick, if not persistent, off-white head. Yeasty, wheaty flavor seems to fall about midway between a good ale and a hefeweizen; it has hints of banana and caramel and just a snip of hops. Texture is fizzy and edgy, very lively.

Bottle courtesy of JJPM74: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a big foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with some nice medium sweet Belgian malt. Taste is also dominated by some nice fruity ester probably coming from the yeast that was used with some nice medium sweet Belgian malt and a subtle dry hoppy ending. Body was quite full with a somewhat oily texture and some good carbonation. I thought this was a bit too sweet and somewhat cloying when compared to the staples of the style.

Pours a cloudy amber with a smallish head. A very orangey, slightly pithy aroma. A spicy undercurrent comes with a mellow fruitiness. This is much hoppier than expected, but it melds well with the rest of the flavors and aromas. This is really a solid beer.

Being that Im partial to Farmhouse Ales, I thought this one was wonderful. Greta head that laced the glass nicely. Nice typical golden color. It had a very fruity flavor with just a hint of mustiness. I would compare it to Hennepin, which is one of my favorite "everyday" beers

Poured an orange color with okay head that didn't last long. Aroma was of spices lots of coriander. Flavor was a little funky coriander and yeast spices some pepper in the finish. Finished a little to sweet for me.

Poured a clear orange color (second pour of bottom of the bottle produced more of an amber color with yeasty cloudiness) with an ok initial head that thinned pretty quickly for the style (ie. weak overall appearance). Aroma was of coriander and spice, almost like a witbier, except for minor funk. Flavor was light funky earthy, sweet wheat, coriander, and other yeasty phenolic spices (a touch of pepper). Perhaps a tad too sweet and sticky underneath the saison flavors, but good stuff (nice price too!).
