Clear redish orange, off-white lastin lacing foam head.. Strong hoppy arona and bitter, malty taste. Citrus notes clearly present. Nice beer. (Galveston 201605)

Comes out of the tap a hazy, barely translucent honey golden with an off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is malty, fruity ad slightly yeasty. Flavor has a malty core and notes of apple, banana, yeast and hops. Firm, lively, tingly mouthfeel rounds it out. Will get you a-howlin’!

Another Texas beer from Suds. Clear copper pour with slight head and very ample lacing. Light carbonation. Light aromas of sweet malts, some earthy hops and slight rye. Taste is much the same as the nose with lightly caramel sweet malts offset by a pleasant hops bitter and a kiss of rye. Nice little linger too. Thanks Suds for another good TX brew.

Bottle shared by Gabe or Steve at SL? Dunno, but thanks to whomever. Pour was amber in color, average to light head. The aroma was caramel, wheaty notes, other grains, floral to citrusey hops. The flavor fol6lowed, a little rye or wheat bite to keep the finish clean. Wanted more depth in the flavor, body was light to moderate for the style. Meh, ok, uninspiring, but I could have drank a few no problem.

Paired this with BR's Hop Rod. This was a very dry and even-keeled entry. A solid amber color, and minimal head. The rye character came out in the finish, but was not overdone. More a supporting actor to the beer than a major player in the overall taste scheme. I like beers with rye, and the dryness to this beer adds an interesting twist without significantly altering the pale ale paradigm.

Poured a deep amber/copper color with a nice tight foamy light sand-colored head with fair retention and minimal lacing. The aroma of rye malt with some light floral hops and spice is very pleasant. The mouthfeel is medium to full-bodied for an APA. The carbonation is pleasant and adds to its crispness, very drinkable. The rye flavor is a terrific change from most pale ales I’ve sampled. Complex and refreshing. Finishes smooth with a touch of nutty bitterness. This was my first rye beer, a pleasant nicely balanced brew. A very impressive summertime thirst quencher!

I sampled this at the brewery. Medium amber color. The aroma was a nice rye smell. The rye flavor is unique and gives the brew a full robust flavor. I would buy this beer again.

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep hazy brown color ale with a big foamy head with good retention but no lacing. Aroma of rye malt with some light bitter hops also noticeable. Taste is a mix between some bitter hops with loads of rye malt which provide some complexity to a usually less complex refreshing style. Body is quite full for the style with some great carbonation.

Never had a rye ale before but it was fairly decent, copper-tanish color. rye and malt scented and flavored, has a little bite to it. I Will probably buy it again.

Caramel brown color, cloudy with nice head and lacing. Aroma of rye malt and floral hops. Flavor was a malty sweetness with a rye base, loads of floral flavors. Not overly sweet or bitter (could have used a bit more of both, honestly), very tame. Very unique blend of flavors, so it gets points for originality, but a bit weak.
