Since 1516 Brewers have led the purity revolution. They mandated only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer. This Reinheistgebot law was the first ever food purity regulation and New Glarus Brewmaster Dan Carey has consistently respected our palates by employing yeast, water, barley and hops to explore a wide spectrum of flavor. Today Dan pushes the purity envelope by using Organic Hallertau Hops from Germany with Wisconsin organically malted barley to create a complex and assertively hoppy golden ale. This beer is even natrually carbonated, 100% bottle fermented means you can expect a flavor celebration to dance cleanly across your palate. Raise your glass and toast to Wisconsin's common sense Revolution.

Bottle from biggcb. Dirty gold color that’s topped with a moderate off-white head with just a few patches of retention. The aroma is airy; some caramel, grains, floral notes and fruit but it’s a really mild scent. Easy drinking beer, probably a decent drink after some yard work, whatever, but the flavor is overall watery and bland and pretty much in line with the aroma. Caramel and doughy malts. Hops are resiny with a splash of citrus. Very little bitterness. Drinkable but not a lot there and it takes some digging to figure out what’s going on.

Golden orange with a nice head and lacing. Good carbonation and with some citrus notes. A tinge of bitterness at first and then smooth. No real aftertast so it keeps you coming back for more.

i could peg this as a straight organic ale rather than an american pale because it's so mellow. that threw me off, but it still is a quite pleasant and well balanced, drinkable brew. Very smooth, clean, and easy drinking. the hoppiness, especially in the aroma, is understated for an APA.

A very good beer. A golden color with a nice white head. Nice lacing on the glass. The taste is hoppy with citrus flavor mixed in as well. This beer goes down very smooth. An excellent beer!

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for this one. Pours a slightly cloudy reddish-orange color with a medium white head. Smells of primarily malts with a floral hoppiness to it. This was an interesting brew that I would like to try again.

This is one of the several beers I picked up when visiting the New Glarus Brewing Company on my "Boozin Across Wisconsin Tour 2008". I purchased it in the store after I took a tour of the facilities.
The Organic Revolution both in bottle and draught form has a very weak hop and citrus aroma to it. It has a rich golden color it it with hints of orange when held up to the light. There was a light white head on it leaves a light lacing behind on the glass.
As with the rest of the New Glarus products, this is a smooth drinking beer. Unfortunately though when compared to the other New Glarus products, this one isn't packed with the wonderful flavor that the rest of the products have. On top of the light hops, there's a tad of malty sweetness to it. Don't get me wrong, this is a good beer, it's just doesn't fall in line with the greatness that New Glarus usually produces in it's other products. -

Well, what can I say? Should I write a song, a poem, about the dedication of appreciation for this beer? Maybe I'll justfully loosen my bolts and let the marbles spinning in my head go carelessly free and happy. Just Kidding. ha ha. Alright though, I hope that every hard working man can relax at the end and kick it, crank the tunes, and enjoy a beer good. As good as this one at that.

Courtesy of pfoxyjohn. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with an ample head giving way to ample tight lacing. Good carbonation. Aroma hints of a very slight citrus with sweet fruits but mostly malts and a dose of hops. Taste is smooth balance of Wisconsin malts and nice hops. A very good ale.

This is just a perfectly-balanced, wonderfully complex yet very drinkable beer from Dan Carey at New Glarus. Not one to take the simple path to a run-of-the-mill American Pale Ale, Dan has perfected a distictly Wisconsin version. The beer pours a beautiful sunset-golden color with a delicate white head. The nose is fresh and multi-faceted with a distinct malt aroma wrapped around hints of hops and fruit. Taste is full and bold with the Wisconsin organic malt providing mild sweetness blended with a heritage-burst of Hallertau flavor that blossoms into a long and slightly bitter but sweet-tinged finish. I think I've found my new favorite beer style - the Wisconsin Pale Ale. Ausgezeignet!

Another perfect beer from New Glarus. Poured a nice golden color with a firm white head. Has a malty aroma with a little hops and a nice malt flavor with hints of bread and yeast with a little residual sweetness.
