This is a mighty tasting brew from a newish-established, uprising and respected brewery. This beer is aged in bourbon barrels. When it was originally brewed, it was done "old world style", by dropping a white-hot granite boulder into the wort for carmelizing sugars (science). So this turns out a bit sweeter on the palate, but balanced out by a touch of complexity and a slight sour after note. It's a pretty color and, as the brewer describes, has personality.

This beer is most definately a pale ale. A color of golden amber orange beams with life. The dry mouthfeel balances out with the juicy texture. The hops add a slight pungency. Overall, this is a pleasant beer and very satisfying for a pale ale lover.

Hop to it! What a brilliant combo of hops and deliciousness. First I would love begin this review by commenting on the radiating appearance that this beer contains in the sunlight:orange, red bronze, with subtle hues of blues green. In normal "bar" light it holds a partly cloudy orange red color. The sip tastes of oranges and hops, a fruity citrus sort with a mellow swallow, yet possessing an invigorating fore-texture on initial contact to the tongue. Overall I rate this beer at the perfect 8. It has provided and accompanied me throughout many jolly good sessions With my peers and fellow beer and life enthusiasts. Cheers!

I'd say this is a fine red ale from the well-respected microbrewery of New Glarus. It pours into the glass a sexy red/light amber. The taste is smooth and easy, excellent for a session. The sweet malts premier with a flowing grand mouth washing followed by a faint settling dance of hops a long the tongue. A hearty cheers to the Snowshoe!!

The aroma and color is strong and bold, dark, roasty and a touch of alcohol that tangles smoothly around the chocolate and oatmeal. This stout has a very pretty little creamy foamy halo for a head. The texture of the sip is smooth with a light touch of carbonation. The flavor is rich and hearty and lives up to it's delicious sounding name. Job well done, cheers!
