Pours a clear copper orange color with a nice tan head that recedes and laces a little bit of the glass. The aroma has a lot of fruity esters, earthy hops and a slight metallic aroma. The taste consists of a malty sweetness with more earthy hops and a slight medicinal taste. Some floral citrus at the end and esters are not as prominent as the aroma indicated. The mouthfeel is very carbonated, medium body with a little slickness on the tongue.

A bright copper colored beer. A big fluffy textured white head rises above. Doesn’t stick around very long and no lacing. This is a pretty bland representative of the style. Some citrus hops in the tasting, not much in the nose. Could use a little more hops but what do you want from beers brewed on the cheap. Light to medium bodied. Some smoothness.

This stuff is really not too bad for a beer that you can buy at the gas station. The appearance is OK and it smells a little bit like an IPA. The taste is slightly hoppy. It taste like some kind of hop oil or artificial flavor has been addded. No complexity here. Mouthfeel is way too thin. Overall, not a bad try. But for the price, I'll go buy a real IPA.

I was excited to see Michelob come out with a pale ale because of the decent price and the fact that I have always enjoyed this line but its had very little aroma, poured more like an amber beer and the taste was bland until the end when it tasted very muddled with a hint of what I can only discribe as wet dog

Has a redish tint for a pale ale. Sort of sweet when you first sip it, but the the dry-hopped process gives it the extra hoppy bitter flavor. Has a clear appearance, with slight carbonation. I would buy it again for the price. Actually, I already did buy it again, so that'll make me repeat consumer.

Sampled on 4/6/2009. This Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange, caramel, floral hops. A medium bodied Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Lively carbonation. It has a weird citrus orange thing going in the nose, but fairly decent Pale Ale, it is a little thin in the mouth and the flavors all seem to be turned down to 7. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a clear amber color with a frothy beiege head. Had a very mild aroma with some nice lacing. The flavor was generous with hops in the entry and midpalate, then finished with a clean malty smooth aftertaste. A good summertime beer.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12 oz. bottle. The pour is a golden colour with a small white head. Retention is low, and lacing is slim. The nose is citrus and wheat with a sweetness lingering. The taste is more of the same with a very subtle bitterness throughout that lasts as an aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium with a moderate amount of carbonation. Drinkability is good; I can see myself drinking three or four in a session. This isn't bad at all, especially considering it's under a Michelob label. It's not the best, but if I ever want a decent beer on the cheap this qualifies.

Pours a golden straw color, smells way too sweet and malty for what should be a pale ale. no hop aroma. Mouth is very thin, annoyingly so. Taste is all malt, after 2-3 sips one finally picks out the faint hop taste on the tongue. I was disappointed since I thought Michelob could handle craft brewing--I love their Amber Bock. This was awful for a Pale Ale, but drinkable.
