The worst thing about this beer, is the fact that it isn't widely available, since it is distributed by The Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) the state-owned corporation responsible for the trade of alcoholic beverages.

They brew(brewery La Lievre)in a motel at Mont-Laurier upper laurentian province of Québec. I know the location because this is my place to sleep when i have to work in that aréa...I have to admit that beer is very weak from start to finish...Putting apart the nice head there is notmuch in that beer. The body is very thin, no aroma i could find except the alchool... No roundness and for an ambrée ale this is disastrous.

Sorry to say but this was just bad. Even before I could start trying to detect any bit of flavour the alcohol (only at 5%!!!) hits you. I couldn't believe it!? Apart from that, I couldn't find any real taste in the beer what so ever. It was - to be brutally honest - hard to finish. The beer also lacked any real aroma or texture. Overall, a weak effort. It's a beer I couldn't imagine ever a time Id want to drink it.

Bottle: Poured a clear brown looking ale with a super huge head comprised of large bubbles. Aroma is hard to grasp with the head covering much of the glass and only faint smell of yeast and malt are discernable. Taste is absolutely disastrous – light malt taste with some sourness at the end. This was probably infected as much of their bottles are. No pity here, this just plain sucks…

This brew, exclusively sold at the SAQ in Quebec, pours a beautiful cloudy golden-orange colour. The head is giant and lacing left is foamy. The aroma is yeasty and hoppy. The taste is completely the opposite, very dull. Some slight hop taste, and sweetness, but not much else. Very boring mouthfeel. Too bad, this one had lots of potential.
