Francais La Microbrasserie du Lièvre, adossée à la rivière du Lièvre, fut fondée par la famille Sabourin pour le nouveau millénaire. L'idée initiale du projet était de créer un attrait touristique dans le complexe hôtelier du motel Le Riverain. Nous avons par la suite obtenu les permis artisanaux et industriels donnant le droit de vendre nos bières sur place, dans les épiceries ainsi que dans les dépanneurs. Jonathan Sabourin, le maître brasseur, a conçu les différentes recettes en contrôlant les niveaux d'amertume et des arrières-goûts. En 1999, les Hautes-Laurentides n'affluaient pas en consommateurs de bières artisanales, c'est une des raisons pourquoi les bières sont si douces. Par contre, douce ne veut pas dire sans goût! Aujourd'hui, la Microbrasserie du Lièvre offre 11 bières: la Blanche à l'Absinthe, la Montoise, une blonde grand public, la Frousse, une très belle bitter anglaise, la Brune au miel, une bière très raffinée, et la Carotte du Lièvre, une bière aux carottes très agréable. Ajoutons aussi à la liste la Ginger Beer, la El lapino et la Jos Monferrand. En plus, nous brassons les I.P.A. du Lièvre et Impériale et la El Diablo, un vin d'orge, tous disponibles selon les saisons. D'autres bières, qui verront bientôt le jour sur les différents étalages, sont en cours de développement. English The Microbrasserie du Lièvre, located in Mont-Laurier, was founded by the Sabourin family on the verge of the new millenium. The first idea was to create a tourist attraction in their motel, Le Riverain. After a while, the idea grew as it became easier to get all the permits to sell the beer in the pub, the supermarkets and others stores of the region. Jonathan Sabourin, the master brewer, has conceived his different beers by finding a perfect balance between the level of biterness and a smooth after-taste. In 1999, the Upper Laurentians region didnít have a lot of consummers that where into these kinds of products. Thatís why all of our beers are so smooth. But smooth doesnít mean without taste! Today, we offer 11 beers that you can find all over the province of Québec. La Montoise is a true lager, La Frousse is a nice hoppy bitter with caramel notes at the end, La Brune au miel is a very refined brown ale, La Carotte du Lièvre is a carrot beer, probably one of the most refreshing beers on the market today. Also, we brew the Blanche à l'Absinthe, a white wheat beer with absynth, the Ginger Beer, the El Lapino, a jalepenos is inserted in the bottle for a unique tasting beer and we have the Jos Montferrand, a nice amber. Depending of the seasons, we have a classic Indian Pale Ale in limited quantity and the new El Diablo, a barley wine. Other beers are bond to come out. We are working hard at the moment to offer other original and great tasting new beers.
