Bottle from the brewery on our 2017 trip there. Pours a dark copper colour with a mocha-coloured head, fizzing away, but leaving a nice 2mm coat above the brew, kind of creamy. Strong sharp roasted malt aromas with some nice cocoa notes after breathing. Then, some dark fruits (prunes mostly). Sweet tasting, but not overly. The roasted malts, hints of dark fruits, apples, caramel and chocolate notes. Some decent bitterness in the finish. Nothing too complex, but a nice Imperial Stout. Maybe a little better as it cellared a bit.
