Enjoying at the brewpub itself with Lilihel. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a small head and not much lacing. Caramel malt nose with some fruitiness. Quite smooth with no burning at all. A little warmth in the taste and not as sweet as the aromas give out to be. Again, some fruitiness and the notes of wax and coconut I have always tasted in their brews. Still, pretty decent for a 10% barleywine that goes down easy.

Tap: Poured a amber color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of rum is quite strong with some residual sweetness. Taste is also dominated by rum-like notes with some sweetness that verges on gross. I must admit that I was quite surprised by the rum notes and thought there was no noticeable oak. Body is full with good carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Better then expected.
