Typical in its wheat beer aroma, this classic wheat beer has a slightly fruity taste, is golden yellow in colour and a light yeast haze, topped by a fine head. Its unique character is thanks to Hopf's own pure yeast culture.

I have had plenty of wheatbeers and this is my favorite! Very hard to find. I have tried getting it at many places but no luck. I recommend trying it if you can.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured a light gushing and unfiltered near opaque straw-gold coloured Hefeweizen with a slightly beige generous three fingers pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is strong wheat malts, spicy, cloves and fruity, citrus, bananas. The flavour is grainy wheat malts, yeast, a sourness touch, fruity, oranges, bananas. The mouthfeel is fizzy, fulled and very smooth. This medium to full bodied Hefeweizen has a long fruity finish. A well refreshing and tasting Hefeweizen, right in the Bavarian tradition.

A c;oudy yellow colored beer with a big soapy textured, white head rising above. Decent hang time on this one. Settles eventually into a thick ringlet. The nose os picy. The taste, wheat, pepper, cloves and bananas. Light, high carbonation.

    500ml bottle -

Aroma - just an outright pleasure to smell. Haven’t had a beer this strong in banana in quite a while. It was like smelling the most awesome banana cream pie...excellent.

Appearance - pale yellow body, starts out pretty clear but the 2nd half of the bottle had the yeast roused up so it was cloudy....fluffy bright white head.

Taste - banana, light cloves...seems slightly acidic...fruitiness seems very restrained, yet easy to enjoy and consume

Overall - the beer was easy to enjoy on a nice May evening. The aroma was just a delight to smell. Great pricing too at ~$3.00 a bottle.

Vegas ’08 - Thick hazy dark yellow gold brew, poured a modest creamy white head and incredible 360 deg lacing. Mmmm very nice aroma! Smooth and soft, good non-puke banana, custard and pumpkin spices. Good bready malts with mild banana (especially on the back end), pie crust. Tart with a drying finish and a touch of lingering banana bread.

Hefeweizen night in the chat! Pours a hazy yellow color topped with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus bananas and fresh with some yeast and a touch of spice. The flavor is a bit citrusy with some orange coriander and banana. There's also some yeast and maybe a hint of spices thrown in there but it's all a little thin. Still nice and refreshing so I may give this one another look on a hot day.

Bottle from Knightly Spirits here in Orlando. Pours the usual, maybe a paler shade of yellow than typical. The aroma is lemons and dough, bananas and cloves very subdued. The flavor was biscuit, dough, bready yeast, light lemons, banana wheat base with some cloves. Malty sweet, finishes light though, not sticky (lighter than Franziskaner). This hefe brought out doughy biscuits more than any other of its kind that I've had to date, not very orthodox take on the style, but it worked for me.

"What? One the most infamous hop-head's on BP drinking a light and refreshing Hefeweizen?" Well, smarty-pants, I was drinking Hefeweizen long before I moved onto much more bitter ales like IPA. One of my great beer-related epiphanies was when I had Ayinger Brau Weiss for the first time. While not as good as that, the Hopf Heffe Weise is still pretty tasty.

Nice classic German Hefeweizen aroma -- that is to say, banana-and-clove first and foremost. In addition, has a nice airy mouthfeel and body, that would taste great on a Summer day, or (even better) for Breakfast in a typical biergarden in Germany...!

There are so many nice German-style Hefeweizen's out there, and this is certianly one of the better ones.

Besides the aroma, I didn't like this beer much. It was just weird. Had a very spicy aroma. Bubblegum, cloves. But almost no head, no lacing. Orange in color. Slightly acidic. Very carbonated and a little oily in it's medium body.

Bottle. Thick, white, foamy, long lasting head on a orange/gold hazy to murky beer. Aroma is fruity with some spices. Taste fruity (bananas?) with some bubblegum. Highly carbonated, in a good way. Crisp and refreshing. Mouthfeel is a bit thin at the end, and the finish is slightly sour with a dry yeasty, bitter aftertaste. Good wheatbeer.
