I want to love this beer, but there's not much to it. Kind of run-of-the-mill as NW APAs go. Balanced, but utterly uncomplex. I agree with Gusler, the front is sweet and malted, but the lightness had me losing interest before I got to the finish. Entirely drinkable, but I'd look for it on sale.

Poured with a very nice head and with decent lacing. The flavor was somewhat funky, slightly off for the style (no idea what it was), and the aroma pretty undetectable. Not much going on here.

Darn. I was really disappointed in this beer, and had such high hopes. Handsome label, and Bridgeport beers in general are top of the line. So I poured it up and admired the deep copper color. But the first sip was down-right off-putting. There's way too much of a malty mouthfeel, and I was really expecting a good sharp, spicy hops bite that just wasn't there. Too bad. At least I have a new cool label to add to my collection.

The copper color of the beer was nice as it poured from the bottle. There was a little bit of lacing as well. The aroma was quite faint and mostly nondescript. The taste, however, was fair enough....nothing out of this world but certainy adequate and refreshing.

One of the many fine beers brought to the monthly Foam On The Brain (homebrew club) meeting last night. This was a decent change of pace from the huge Belgian beers and massive Barleywines that we sampling, but I think I would quick get tired of this if I had it in a more subdued setting.
Another beer that claims to be a "Copper Ale", I see. Well, considering that I can't buy off on breweries going willy-nilly and making up up their own styles (Stone's Arrogant Bastard a very notable exception, that is), this really isn;t much more than Pale Ale with a dash of more Crystal 60L, to give it a reddish/copper hue. {shrug} Whatever.
Adequate aroma, that doesn't really say a whole lot to me. Same-same for the flavor profile. Decent enough bitterness, and a workman-like malt prescence, but surly nothing too thrilling. A littly limp in the mouthfeel -- would much rather prefer some crispness to this type of brew. Alright drinkability, too..., nothing that really helps or hurts this beer's overall presentation.
Fine for what it sets out to do, I guess. That is to say, a Pale Ale without any sort of edginess. Not horrid, but nothing I'll drink again.

Copper color, medium head. A medium bodied pale ale. Malty and aggressively hopped. Smooth lighter flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

MM the appearance is pretty par for the course with other "copper" ales it is a coppery colour, with almost no head to mention..though it does retain a smallish lace around the glass..seems very "fizzy". Smell is pretty good though not great..though less hoppy than most NW brews Taste I am afraid is very average, maybe its just me I always seem to rate Bridgeport brews as not very tasty. just a strange bitterness to it after swallowing though its not Cascade Hops bitterness..not appetizing. The mouth feel is exscessivlly carbonated..its too much all in all an average beer
