Found this in an IGA in Lincoln City ,Oregon Coast. Bottled on 03/13/06. Very good looking porter mahogany brown with a nice sized tan head..that goes fast and leaves attractive lace. Aroma is all about roasty/toasty malts but its not strong. A very strident taste very bitter-sweet malty, roasted almost burnt a significant hop presence also. Ok on the palate but i felt it was a triffle over-carbonated..nice lingering after taste. Overall a pretty nice porter, maybe a little highly hopped but OK.

after the last beer from this brewery I am not looking forward to this at all. Again the appearance is right on form, amber beer with a large frothy off white head. The aroma is ok to, average for style slightly toffee malts and a whiff of hops. Hmm quite hoppy APA, very little malt backbone, as it says citric..and a creamy sort of body but its sort of strange..the malts are almost gone..not really balanced but really not that bad a taste Palate was all over the place watery, creamy, bitter ..etc strange. Overall quite a weird beer and slightly better than what I was expecting.

Dang I knew as soon as I got this home from Albertsons it was a contract brew..i really suppose I knew it before I bought it, ah but the need to review! Well good start it looks like a lager..light gold, large frothy white head. very grainy aroma with hints of nail polish..not good. flavour mostly very sweet and malty, just a bare "tang" of hop in the after taste. Thin palate..with a sweet cloying part. This is bad ..this is not a pilsner it is just an American Pale lager. Never again..

Nice looking beer in appearance, dark amber with ruby aspects, lovelly large dense creme coloured head. Nice dark fruity, malty aroma, with a hint of hop and mild pipe tobacco. Great balanced flavours, mainlly malty on first taste..dark malts, slightly toffeeish, some dried fruits, slightly prunish, a hint of dried apricot..all vert nice, but the understated English hopping as always supports well and leads to a well balanced beer. Very good mouthfeel, not thick but pleasing..dryish finish. I liked this beer very much , typical English flavours make for a easy going Summer night beer here in Salem.

330ml brown bottle, embossed. Says 5.4% alc on this one Regular Euro lager appaearance light golden with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is pretty grassy/grainy. Some doughy scents too. Taste is semi-sweet, quite noticabl malty with peppery hoppiness appearing soon after and in the after taste. Quite "soft" on the palate, lowish carbonation. Overall an average European lager, but its quite nice and better than American macro type lagers.
