Our namesake ale represents everything a good, well balanced pale ale should be: malty but not too sweet, refreshing but not too bitter, full-bodied but not too heavy, lively but not over carbonated. A clean, everyday beer that leaves your palate begging for more.

Had this thanks to hamilton23. 22 oz bottle poured into into a pint glass revealed a light amber and a three-finger white head which settled to one-finger. The lacing was obvious and lasted throughout. Nose was a hint of orange and lemon with notes of bready malts. Taste was clean and light with elements of hops, orange, lemongrass, some biscuity malt and buttery sweetness. The finish included a mild but pleasing bitterness. The mouthfeel was light, smooth with moderate carbonation. This was a very refreshing brew and, I think, a wonderful interpretation of the style. A summer afternoon is a perfect excuse to try one!

In Eastern Canada we have Alpine Lager so this even things out having Alpine Ale. This is a cear beer, pale gold in colour, with a 1" white bubbly head. The aroma is citrusy hops, ample grainy malt, and some yeasty hints. The flavour is a balance between the grassy malt, and the grapefruity hops. A good beer.

Bottle from hapjydeuce. Pour was golden yellow in color with a decent head, but not huge and frothy like some APAs. The aroma was nutty, musty and hearbal, somewhat crisp like a lager. The flavor was nutty spicey hops, slight resinous notes, again crisp and clean finish, lager-like. The mouthfeel was light, refreshing, not an over the top APA, but one I'd be proud to keep the fridge full of in the summer! Thanks, Justin.

What a nice beer. Completely flying under beer geek USA's radar, this beer is a really great example of an America pale ale. It's got just the right combo of maltyness and hoppyness to be near perfect in balance. Excellent condition gives this a beautiful color and head. This baby is worth every penny if/when you find it.

Golden colored with a dusty aroma, I was really surprised when I found bottles of this in Orange County. The flavor is dry and tangy. It's a very nice APA from a brewer that deserves more publicity.

This pale ale pours an orange gold color from a 22 oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is reisny and citrusy hops, lots of them: really lots of them. A medium bodied Pale Ale. Malts are slightly fruity and semi-sweet. Hops are very bitter, citrusy and piney. Kind of unbalanced Pale Ale. Lots of hop bitterness with the malt sweetness as a backbone. The nice hoppy aroma does not match the flavor. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter.

Poured a light amber color with a small white head that left some sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, straw, buttery malts, and light citrus. Taste citrus, light pine, and some more caramel malt. Not overly bitter, but a decent pale ale.

Along with the Willy Wheat Ale, this is one of the owner/brewer's oldest recipes -- routinely taking home blue ribbons each and every time it was entered in various homebrew competitions. And it's easy to see why. This is a very nice American Pale Ale, with a fine aroma and presentation, a nice array of hops (bitter, but not overally so), and a nice even-handed malt bill. Real good mouthfeel and drinkability, overall.
If this was ever bottled and sold at liquor stores, it might get overlooked for flashier beers out there. That would be a shame, since this is a fine example of an American Pale Ale.

This pale ale pours with an orange-gold body topped by a medium thick, white head with a decent amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and hoppy with notes of grapefruit and a touch of pine. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with a decent malt balance, a touch of graininess and lots of grapefruit. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly warming.

An aight beer, had some decent hops in it for a straight up ale. Overall I can dig this beer as a solid house standard. Good color, aroma, and body.
