A 750 ml bottle from Dog and Bull in Croydon, poured into a Duvel tulip. This appeared as a clear copper with a large white head. This settled to a coating but left ample lacing. The nose was pine, citrus (especially lemon and orange) and some maple syrup. Taste was a nice interplay of hops and sweetness with emphasis on notes of citrus, some breadiness and the maple syrup. Body was medium, creamy and with a healthy carbonation. This is NOT a hop bomb, but a pleasant and remarkably well-balanced IPA, and it is more than just a combination of 60 and 90- minute. I like both but might like this even better than either. If I can get any more, I am eager to try this again SOON!

Got this 12 oz. bottle on a tip from the guys at Pinocchios. Poured (into a New Belgium tulip glass) an only slightly-cloudy, golden amber with a smallish one-finger head which dissipated quickly. While there was lacing, it was thin. The nose of this beer was amazing - grapefruit, orange, mango, and pineapple and pine. The taste is just about as good. It hits hard at first with the hop and citrus you would expect, follows with some biscuity malt and ends with a pleasant dry bitterness. Wow. Mouthfeel was medium and mildly carbonated. This was a great beer! PLEASE convince Lagunitas to keep going with this! And if you are an IPA lover and haven't tried it - do it!

12 oz. bottle poured into a New Belgium glass. A moderately aggressive pour yielded a dark, golden brew with a 2-inch white head which lasted. Lacing was spotty but lasted throughout. The nose was the resinous and the lemony, hop-centered smell you would expect from the citra. The taste was dry, lemon, orange and mango, grassiness, pine but there were tones of some nice malt notes and grain as well. I loved the healthy carbonation and some nice bitterness at the back end. The mouthfeel was medium to light. What a wonderful surprise this beer was. I just wish I could get more!

Had this in a snifter at TJ's. Poured red-black with a smallish mocha head which dissipated to a coating. Lacing was ample and marked every sip. Nose was citrus, some sweetness of caramel and some roasted coffee. Taste was grapefruit, pine, some dark chocolate, roasted coffee and dark fruit. Mouthfeel was medium, dry and creamy with a strong bitterness in the finish. Carbonation seemed perfect for the style. Some booziness but pleasant. This is a very nice black ipa that I will go back to again.

Poured a clear, golden from a 12-oz. can into a Duvel tulip. Smallish 1-finger head with a moderate pour. Head was white and settled to a coating which lasted throughout. Lacing was minimal. Nose was some pine and citrus notes, particularly grapefruit, pineapple, and lemon-lime. Taste: Hop presence but this was a malty IPA. Sweet caramel malts predominated with hints of fruit and oak. There was some alcohol warming/burn which I felt was a little out of control. Bitterness (especially at the end) was there, but moderate. Texture was medium, sticky, slick and with healthy carbonation. Overall, this was a decent offering but not one I would go out of my way to have again.
