Bottle. Colour - transparent rust colour, good effervescence, off-white creamy head, good lacing. Aroma - light toasted caramel notes, some roasted malt, and a weak earthy hop presence. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, slight over carbonation. Flavour - not well balanced as the malty caramel sweetness dominates any hop presence that might be there.

Acquired from Chopz! Pours an average frothy beige head and dissipates to a thin layer. Has an clear amber appearance. Thick patchy lacing. Aromas of toasty and bready malts. Light toffee notes. Flavours are mainly light roasted malts, crisp resin and earthy hops, hints of grains and wheats with a little bit of citrus of making an appearance in the finish. Average carbonation. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Not too bad.

6-pack from The Beer Store. Pours a clean rich amber colour with a frothy warm cap that stays a while and leaves creamy lacing. Aromas are very mild with this one. Mildly malty at first with some hints of grass and citrus that come afterwards. Malty taste as well, with light caramel malts, nuts and not very good hops. I like this brewery, but this is probably my least favourite brew from them.

Quite a drinkable beer but nothing special. Just like most amber ales. Sweet caramel malt aroma and flavour. Some background hops for support which gives it a dry finish.

Quite a good beer, not at all to my taste, but impressed with the crisp qualities and hoppy dryness on the taste. Not usually a fan of brown or amber beers, or labels that advertise them that way. Often I find that they are sweet and artificial tasting. While this brew still has some reminecense of these flavours, not far off of sleeman or rickards, however there is definate hops and natural sweetness to the beer. Great name and bottle, but contrary to beerchronic, would not consider this another great brew from tree. The brewers description compares this beer to the cutthroat pale ale, and I would not see the resemblance. The cuttroat is hoppier, dryer, more thirst quencing, greater complexity to the flavour, well try em both. Good enough

Nice enough looking beer, at least, with an appealing amber (duh!) colour, accompanied by a mild malt-infused aroma. Taste was like it was "tinned", not really much to like about this beer, sadly.

Bottle from variety pack. Pours a shimmering deep amber with a 3 finger puffy cap that laces well on the glass. Aroma is nice: lots of toasty maltiness, caramel sweetness bit of musty fruitiness from the yeas under a predominant citrus-floral hop aroma..I like malty beers so this aroma is ambrosia to me. Moderate body with a good malt spine, chunky mouth feel with a malty-toffee-floral character. Up front the lush caramelized malts predominate then the fruit-citrus and herbal bittering create some mild complexity, Finish is thick, malty and lightly bitter. My favorite Tree brew.

such a good brew. mmmmbeer introduced me to this, and i'm thankful. local pub serves on tap, which i had today, and it was a treat. poured with a decent head, that left good lacing on glass. right now drinking out of bottle and reviewing. aroma boasts sweet malts, and light flowery scent. refreshing. taste is fresh with the malts again showing good presence. colour is clear, light copper. all around good beer.

Thirsty beaver one of my favorite party beers high quality, inexpensive, and the name and label are great conversation topics. Honey brown in color and maybe just a touch of red, a medium sized tan head caps of this brew, a good sized skiff remains after a minuet or two. A very light hop aroma is present followed some nice caramel malts, overall the sent is smooth and rich, but could be a touch stronger it’s a little difficult to detect. The taste is very nice light hops built on a good strong malt back bone, dam so very malty, so much rich tasty malt flavor, accented perfectly with light hops. The beer is full bodied and creamy and leaves a sweet bready after taste. Such a good beer well crafted with tons of flavor.
