5.0% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

The beer poured a hazed golden orange with a long lasting foamy white head. The aroma was banana, clove, and citrus. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is wheat and yeast with some spices. An alright beer. -

Big bomber from the LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden-amber colour with an average head and decent lacing. Mild hefe aroma at first (with bananas and cloves), but then just becomes grainy (wheaty). The taste is pretty mild as well, but at least the hefe notes are there. A little spices in the finish. Creamy and watery mouthfeel. Refreshing, but lacking some character overall.

A limited edition release as per bottle label. Poured a creamy head and looks very thick. A golden yellow appearance. A banana aroma that I get. A spicy mouthfeel, a bit sour and flavour comprised of wheat, a bit of fruits and yeast. It's unpasteurized, has no preservatives and is only brewed in small batches. Pretty good for my tastes.

Pours a roily, clouded pale gold (unfiltered - good so far) decent but not great cap for a weizen, weak lacing. Mild carbonation (not bottle contitioned). Aroma is decent - clove phenols, a bit of succulent fruits, boiled ereals and some funk from suspended yeast. Tastes better than it smells big biscuity malts, some fruitinss, spice but a decent hop decernment - long semi dry finish where the hops take over. Refreshing, yet this is a substantial brew. I lacks the refinements of the European imports but will do in a pinch.

poured with little to no lacing! what the phack!? anyhoo, it looks pretty good with its deep yellow haziness. smell is yeasty and banana-y, with a very slight bit of dusty. taking a drink of this shows not a whole lot of anything. i can get some yeast out of it and such a small bit of banana. sub par beer.

Colour was a slightly peculiar orange, and VERY hazy. The head was a creamy white, and stayed for a helluva a long time. I'm more than half way through this, and still it hangs on. Outstanding! Aroma is somewhat shy, with a touch of sweetness peeking through. Taste is quite pleasant, a bit bittersweet and most pleasant. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, and the aftertaste packs a titch of sweetness. A nice beer.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy deep yellow color beer with an average bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma of wheat is dominant with some subtle bananas. Taste is dominated by rich wheat with a full body and limited filtration. While this is an excellent example of the style, I though it lack a bit the banana characteristic that I really love in Hefeweizen.

Very nice looking hefe a cloudy brownish orange body with a large pillowy white head that had great retention and lacing, very nice looking beer. Just your average smelling hefe, yeast and wheat make up most of the aroma with some spice there could have been more spice for my liking, there was a sourness coming through in the aroma that I didn’t enjoy to bad for that or I would have really enjoyed the smell of this brew. The taste was a let down after this beer started off so good, sour banana, and wheat, overall the beer seemed very watered down and bland. The mouth feel is also watery and to heavily carbonated, and it leaves a very bready aftertaste in your mouth. The brew is drinkable but a bellow average hefe, this beer look great but nothing special in its taste.

Pours a nice dark yellow and is super thick... the huge white foamy head and good life and above average lacing affects. the smell of wheat is appearent and so is banana... slight yeast and a spice i cant figure out. Taste on this sucker is ok... banana and yeast. the mouthfeel is slighty watery and like beercronic i get the chalky aftertaste as well. i guess this is a ok start for a hefe by Tree... lets hope they come back next year with a slightly more smelling/tastier Hefe... it looks great... something to work on!! :)

Damn, this stuff is thick! You cannot see 1cm into the glass - it's solid! Thick dark yellow going orange in colour with a super fat off white head and some average lacing. The aroma of the yeast is quite light and the banana odor is not overly strong. More like candied dried bananas. Actually, more like Banana Brown Cow Milk syrup. That's not entirely a great thing. Almost forgot the underlying aroma of dirt. Taste is comprised of yeast and plently bananas with a sour touch. It's quite refreshing out in the sun, but I'm not really a fan of the North American Hefe's style. Mouthfeel is dry, dull, slightly alcoholic and finishes with a slight chalky aftertaste that doesn't last.
