I liked this one. Nothing great, but nice and hoppy for a brown ale. Tasted like a mix between an IPA and red ale. Reminded me (flavorwise) of Lagunitas Max Red...but more on the brown side in color with some redish hues. I may rather go with a straight IPA, brown ale, red ale, or whatever....but this hybrid beer was good to try.

A deep brown colored ale, with red tints when held to the light. A small tannish sudsy head. Settles fairly quickly into a moderate ringlet. Big pine and citrus hop nose. There is a hint of caramel. A thin boedied ale. There’s smoothness and a fair amount of carbonation. Roasted coffee-malt with a balance of hops. Nice taste, even if in appearance and body it comes up short.

Pours out in a clear dark ruby brown colour with a small off-white head. Clean aroma of caramel, grass and orangey hops with sharp metallic undertones of iron. Medium-bodied with notes of toasted malts, crackers caramel, nuts and earth with sharp undertones of orange-peels, grass and iron. Clean yet rough moutfeel. Hop-bitter finish of grass and resin.

A clear deep amber-brown with a decent head and some lacing. Slightly roasted malts with some nuttiness and a good dose of hops in the aromas. Taste is hoppier than expected with a earthy nuttiness, slight sourness, and a good amount of malts.

This beer what I thought was so much promise but after the smell and the nice brown color and tan head I was not impressed. It was overall to heavy for what I thought and the flavor fell flat in the carbonation department and it was just a little to nutty.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of molasses and strong caramel malt with a clean bitter finish. Taste is also characterized by strong caramel and molasses malt with a dry bitter hoppy finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting take on the style with more malt then expected but less hops then I had hoped for.

This was not a bad beer, but it was a strange conconction. It pours a murky brown, with a slight head. The aroma was a whallop of citrus hops, and then the roasted malt follows. The beer went down very smoothly with the nutty maly first, and a bitter hoppy finish.

This is a mixture of a brown ale and an IPA and tastes as such. More than that I'm useless for as I had already ahd 4 or 5 beers. There's a chance I'd get this again although only because I like brown ales so much...................................................................................................................................rate this....

This pours a very dark brown, amber color, a little murky with a nice initial tan head. Pretty good head retention and nice lacing. Aroma is a mix of malts and piney hops and is an overall decent scent. At first I thought this beer tasted a little empty but it really was a pretty good beer, nuts, malts, nice bitter piney hop bite. Solid and a pretty good representation of a hoppy Brown Ale.

OK, bought this thinking it was a brown ale. Then a closer look at the label says India style, and you know what that means. It smells like a hopped up IPA even tho it is a dark brown beer in the glass. Nifty aroma of pine or floral hops. Alarming to the lager lover. Taste is like any other IPA with some earthy flavors mixed in perhaps. Chewing on green grapefruit rind flavors and worse. Did somebody leave soap in my glass? Bitter impact covers other attributes about this beer including whether or not there is carbonation. Terrible bitter linger. Should be in the IPA style. Terrapin India Brown S6L4F2T3O3
