On tap @ 10 East -
Jolly Pumpkin beers used to be on the top of my "must get" list, but many of them have that similar house yeast flavor/funk that gets in the way. This was a pretty decent beer, oaky and barnyard aroma and flavors dominate. Watery. Reminds me in some ways of a Petrus ale. -

Shared bottle at local tasting. Amber brown fizzy pour, bubbly head, little lacing. Complex aromas and flavors: light funk, some zesty fruits, hint of cinnamon and spices, very slight hint of cocoa as it warms, floralness. Sweet almost syrupy finish. Interesting beer, glad to try it.

Have a big, thirsty towel handy when you open this - the sample I opened fizzed like a bottle of champagne in the locker room of the team that just won the World Series. It pours a hazy mahogany with a VERY thick light cinnamon-tan head that settles down after a bit. Aroma has a strong overtone of sour apple with a little pear mixed in and a malty hint. Flavor has a malty core, a strong overtone of sour apple, and a woody undertone. Is this a Belgian, or a Sour? Whatever, it's tasty. Texture has good tang and fizz, though body is a bit on the thin side. Lovers of sour ales should enjoy this one.

750 ml bottle, blend 3, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy amber to brown colour, huge off-white head. Nice fruity aroma (esp. oranges), notes of cinnamon, I can’t single out the cocoa. Also hints of apples and farmhouse kitchen. The flavour is sourish and oaky, with fruity and spicy notes, distinct hops in the finish.

A murky orange color. Aroma is vinegar, cherries, brown sugar, and spices. The flavor is rather sour with a malty backbone. Some citrus, vinegar, and caramel going on. Not a sour bomb but some funk present to keep it interesting. Nice one!

Bottled@O’Haras, Tampere. Rubyish brown colour with small beige head. Aroma is fruits, sour and tart wood along with some spices. Flavour is being quite identical. Wellbalanced and quite nice.

750ml bottle. Pours a murky tea-brown with a small white head that quickly goes to a thin film.
The aroma is bready malts, some maple, nuts, chocolate and some tart fruits. Brett comes out as it warms.
The flavor is strong tart fruity sourness and some wood and brett and a little maple/chocolate/molasses seasoning that is pretty overwhelmed. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light watery carbonation.
Overall, a nice sour. The spicing is overwhelmed, but I like the tart sourness and the brett. The only downside is the watery mouthfeel. -

From Vin de Pays of Long Beach, CA; batch # 253. Poured a lot of rocky tan head over a brown body, plus a generous helping of sediment. Aroma was somewehat perfumed, rather un-brown ale-like. Taste was sweet and the mouthfeel was surprisingly sharp. An interesting beer.

Bottle courtesy of Kryptic: Poured a hazy brown color ale with a bug light brown color head with great retention and great lacing. Aroma of funky yeast with some brett-like aroma with some sour and tart notes. Taste is also dominated by sour notes with loads of oak and barnyard-like notes. Minimum filtration with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoyed again the wild taste of the JP beers but cannot say that I detected much cinnamon or cacao.
