Presentation: This is one of six beers from an eighteen pack labeled Beer of America, Historical Collection. The 18 pack also came with a nice book titled, The History of Beer in America. It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a mug. There appears to be no freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: The body has a deep amber color with good clarity and just a few small bubbles of carbonation making there way up to the head. The head is just off white in color, small and fades fast. Only a small ring of slick lacing remains. Smell: It has a light roasted grain aroma with a light hint of minerals and leafy herbal hops. Taste/Palate: The flavor has a base of light roasted grain with lots of buttery sweet notes. There are some mineral salt like notes and mild bitterness as well that turn into grassy/leafy hop flavors into the finish. The palate has light to medium body with a slick and fizzy texture. Notes: This was a rather bland beer and it had very similar flavors to all the other beers in the mixed pack. The best part of this 18 pack is the book that came with it.

This is the second of the ‘Beers of America’ from Minhas. A brown lager. But when held to the light there is a translucent redness in the body. There was a healthy frothy white head upon pour, There was a healthy frothy white head upon pour, with some hang time, eventually settling into thin lacing. Roasted caramel rises in the aroma. The body is smooth. There is a richness of sweet roasted malt on the palate. All in all this is the best of this collection so far, but then I have four to go.

Pours a light amber color with a medium head and little lacing. Some carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts and little hops. Taste is rather thin with a malty base and some hops in the finish.

Poured a rusty amber with thin head. The aroma was malty and sweet but not overdone. There was a hint of a nutty aroma. The mouth feel was smooth but thin. The beer drank well This would be a beer that I would turn to when the weather was not too hot. Goes OK with a meal

The aroma is nice and malty with some sweetness with maybe some slight sourness. The appearance is not bad and is a light-bronze to rustic in color with a surprisingly nice head on top that is luscious and creamy and off-white in color and coats the glass very nicely and remains throughout consumption. The mouthfeel is light-bodied with some nice maltiness and is somewhat creamy with an aftertaste that is sweet with a bit of bitter with some light roasty character with a finish that is pretty smooth and not too bad and is somewhat creamy. Overall, this is a weak bock here and is light and perhaps a bit thin and watery for the style and is unoffensive with decent drinkability and it is refreshing; not bad stuff here but no better than say a Michelob amber bock or something like that.

Pours with a deep red body with little head or lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty yet slightly sour. Reminds me of cheap wine. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with a very slight roasty note and a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied, slightly warming and smooth.
