Golden in color, as befits the name, this brew produces a prodigious head of white fluff following a vigourous pour. Pretty lacing grips the glass as the beer is consumed. Floral aroma, aggressive yet smooth mouthfeel of medium fullness adds to the experience. A bit biscuity in flavor, and clean with a nice rounded finish. Very nice for the style.

Malty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone. It pours a clear solar yellow with a rather average white head. Crisp, malty flavor has a grassy overtone and a firm yeasty note. Smooth, crisp texture has just a little fizz, enough so that you know this is beer. Just OK, but pick up a bottle if you have a chance.

Pours of a medium gold, good foam attributes .. . mild grain and with biscuit and cereal .. . very smooth, well made and has a very clean pure taste, i like this quite a bit- could be the best Helles i have had, at least in recent memory .. . A woman is a lot like a refrigerator. Six feet tall, 300 pounds…it makes ice.

This poured a golden color with a moderate white head. The aroma contains some lemons, grass, and vanilla. The flavor is nice with a malty presence, some lemons, grass, and a slight hop presence. This my friends is how you do a lager. No annoying corn or crap like that. Just a clean refreshing beer. Major props here!

Beer pours golden yellow with nice pillowy head and good lacing. Almost no aroma, and I was sniffing HARD. Nice crisp, clean malty sweet flavor...but not overly sweet. Easy drinking and enjoyable. Just what this style should be.

Aroma is sweet with cereal malt overtones as well as some musty hoppiness and bitter. Appearance is a crisp, golden yellow in color with a full and carbonated head on top that is bleach-white and remains on top throughout consumption. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and has good malty balance and cereal malty complexity with a palate that is clean and crisp and an excellent example of the style. Flavor is of cereal malt with pleasant hop flowers in the aftertaste with a clean and crisp finish that is dry to some extent. Overall, a great example of the Helles/Dortmunder-style and is surprising as well given the complexity of this creation. Great example of the style and is crisp like a lager but has the full flavor of an ale.

08.15.05 12oz bottle. Burnished gold color with little white head that fades. Noble and rich on the nose, white toast. Flavor is even and full, plenty of doughy breads, seasoned with brine and grassy herbs. Mild for sure, but nice stuff.

This helles pours a yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is grassy and grainy. A medium bodied helles/dortmunder. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of banana. There is a slight, yet distinct floral hop bite. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Very easy drinking helles. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and sweet. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured a gold color with a medium sized white head that left light lacing on the glass. Earthy, grassy, lemony, light citrus, sharp hoppy aroma. Malty, grainy, very low bitterness and mild carbonation.
