500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Clear and pale golden colour, large white head. Nice floral aroma, a hint of honey. Citric / sharpish mouthfeel. The flavour is first distinctly malty, followed by moderate herbal bittering hops.

Pours clear topaz with a frothy parchment head. Aroma is not strong, but promises fresh malt with hints of apple and hay. Flavor delivers crisp fresh malt, woody hops and zesty apple. Texture offers decent body and lively fizz. Prost auf weitere hundert Jahre, Ayinger!

Clear bright yellow, white foam head. Quite normal aroma and taste like most German beers, as they all made kind of the same German way. (Velp 201411)

Pours a hazy light yellow amber with a 2 finger head that takes its sweet ass time. A lot of carbonation. Aroma has a very strong light malt backing that is fairly typical for a German lager. Taste is very light with a metallic hint at first. Fairly plain with a slight hint of lemon. Drinkable but not as good as I would hope.

Does Ayinger make a bad beer? If they do, this isn't it. A beautiful golden pour with a nice white head. A nice pale malt aroma with a good dose of floral hops. Flavour is well balanced.

It pours a light yellow-golden with a thin white head and some specks of lacing. An aroma of grainy malts, lemon/citrus, and other light fruits. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of barley malts, hops, citrus, very light alcohol, yeast, and light spices. Very solid - reminds me of Pilsner Urquell.

Another delicious beer from Ayinger. Bright golden pour. A hint of hops,a briefest flash of caramel. A little grassy, but with excellent smooth creamy mouth feel. A great offering from a top notch brewer.

Drank this for the first time last night followed by several other brews at an Oktoberfest dinner I threw, (yes this is not an Oktoberfest brew) so didn't have the chance to really study and rate it. However I can say it is under rated here IMHO. Will not some impressions here and come back for re-rate in the future when I can spend some serious time with this wonderful lager. Mostly malt in the nose with a hint of hops, beautiful pale golden body with tight white head. Soft medium mouth with perfect carbonation. I love the taste of this one, lost of malt; bread and biscuit with a fair amount of grass and hints of lemon, very nice balanced with he hops, dry finish, extremely drinkable!

A hazy yellow colored beer. Big frothy textured white head rises above. Sticks around for awhile. Slowly descends in to no lacing. Through for awhile there is a film and hefty cap. Light nose of malt and grassy hops. Light to medium, smooth body. Grassy hops kick in in the flavoring, more pronounced though balanced by the sweetness of malt. Let this one go to room temperature. More to discover at that critical point.

i'll have to re-rate as i had a cold when i tried this for the first time, but for now it'll have to do. a solid sweet-leaning lighter beer, with a smooth crisp mouthfeel. i dont know if my nose just missed the hops or if they were really that mellow (earthy and light) but the malt profile was very nice.
