Anything but a typical American Pale, Santa Fe Pale Ale is as full bodied as its most robust English counterparts, while asserting its American origin with a healthy nose resplendent with Cascade and Willamette hops. It finishes with a well-balanced combination of the subtle, almost Pilsner-like maltiness accentuated by the German yeast used to brew this Santa Fe classic, and a hop bite sufficient to leave a lingering smile on the face of any fan of American Pale Ales.

fairly typical and average english style pale ale. admitedly not my favorite style, but there have been standouts. This isn't one. Decent floral hops and malt balance, but a little cardboard going on. Meh.

Props to Chef Chad for sending this. Surely an interestingly different take on the pale ale style. Brownish amber color, thick body made cloudy from the yeast in the bottle. A thin lasting head and ample lacing help the appearance. Hearty grain/cereal aroma with honey and flowers. Inviting and unique. On the heavier side with a moderate creaminess and no prominent bitterness to speak of, it has a sweeter side. Chewy grains and bran that lead to a sweet honey and caramel taste. Minor notes of citrus . Odd pale ale, but it seems to work.

Poured a slightly cloudy golden color with a tall white head. This beer had some great lacing and a pleasent hoppy aroma. The flavor was pretty balanced and had a crisp finish. The beer, did however, lack any realy complexity.

Sampled from bottle, one of the better APA's i tasted today: Poured a bright orange- golden colour with a big white head. Soft citrusy notes immediately on the palate. Frothy which is evident, but quick to leave the glass. Semi floral, midly hoppy but not wildly hoppy. Grassy, lemon zest and green apple.

bought at kroger's super-mart day the M.A got home... pours with very little aroma... lacing is decent ... a simple, little dull but an easy going beer, a starter/novice brew.. is there a word less than pale?... definetly not The Cat's Pajamas!!

Thanks to Caddylac for this one as well. Pours a hazy orange with a nice white head. Aroma is light an hoppy with fruit undertones. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is mild and pleasant with a great hop presense. Slightly citrusy. Spotty lacing on the glass. An average pale ale, much better than their brown.

Poured a murky copper color with a thick off-white head. Decent floral hoppy aroma. Flavor has a nice hoppiness to it with a bitter finish. A nice pale ale. Thank Caddylac for the hook-up.

Poured a very cloudy burnt orange. Decent floral and fruit aroma. Pretty smooth brew with a decent kind of piney taste to it. Just glad my boy from AZ was able to hook us up a NM beer.

Cloudy amber color. Not an overwhelming aroma. Flavor emphasizes malt over hops; could've used a little more hops presence, I guess that's what I'm saying. It was good enough, but not great. It's bottle-conditioned, though, so this beer may improve with time. I'm gonna cellar a couple bottles and see what happens.

This poured an attractive reddish color with a thin layer of lacing around the edges of the glass. There was a sublte grassy aroma to this brew. The taste was average but a bit on the watery side.
