I've always loved this barleywine. The aroma is super hoppy with just enough malt to let you know it's there. Very nice copper color with a thick white foamy head. The flavor is just right on point, super hoppy with deep malty-alcoholy finish. Good good stuff!

Pours jet black with a decent head. The aroma was of roasted malts. The flavor was slighty watered down but its ok. Jusy needs a touch more up front. With so many stouts out there, not sure I'd hunt this one down.

Thanks Lou for the bottle! Poured to a copper color and didnt catch a bunch of aroma, what I did catch is a buttery note. I'm thinking I should of drank this a bit sooner. The taste was ok but not overwhelming with hops. I'd consider this to be a nice session brew for sure. Thanks again Blue Lou!

Thank you Dansting! This bottle was given to me a year ago from Dan. The name pretty much explains this beer. I hate to say anything is perfect, but for a barleywine this was as close to that as I've tasted. The aroma was dark sweet plums soaked in whiskey. This beer had zero head and murky brown look to it. The sticky sweetness of this beer seemed to attach itself to my lips. The taste was of the darkest sweetest plums that were soaked in whiskey. Very glad I got two bottle of this coming to me this year so I can compare young v. a year later. :) If you have to spend $25 for this, I think I'd pull the trigger and do it.

Thank you Travis (Phishpond417)for this very nice surprise! Poured from the bottle and it had a very grassy aroma almost wheaty aroma. Not exactly a super hoppy beer but that's ok, cuz I totally dug this beer. It has this very nice earthy flavor filled brew. I can't thank Travis enough for this lovely gift.
