A deep tawny reddish hued Irish-inspired ale with a lingering nut-like maltiness. Very lightly hopped with a pleasant estery fruitiness expiring to wonderfully smooth finish. Slainte!

A very good amber ale out of Eastern Canada. A clear copper beer, tan head, sweet malt aroma, and refreshing taste that isn't as heavy or sticky sweet as other Canadian ambers.

Pours a nice, slightly cloudy red/amber colour with a medium size off white head with decent retention and lacing. Smells great, somewhat sweet with hints of fruit and nuts and a strong malt presence. Flavour is delicious, starts sweet and nutty with a nice caramel taste and finishes with a bit of hops, and just a hint of alcohol. Mouth feel is thin to medium with medium carbonation. Another fine beer out of pumphouse.

I tried this beer on August 14, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent dark red with a generous light tan head that lasted a while. The aroma was roasted malt, some cherries, and some nuts. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was malty, with some hints of paper. Not enjoyed. -

New at the LCBO and comes in a 6-pack. Pours a caramel colour with an off-white head that leaves a creamy wave of lacing all around. The carbonation is quite light and the bubbles I see are very tiny. Nice caramel smell with some fruit, grain malt and beautiful nutty perfume. The mouthfeel is kind of thin with just a little stickiness in the end. Roasted malt taste, with fruits, nuts and light grain in the aftertaste. Quite a pleasant refreshing red ale that I would drink again.

Clear and dull reddish brown with a tiny faint skiff of a cap, beer looks ok but boring. I’m getting a moderate amount of hops, mild coffee, roasted malts and a slight sourness in the aroma. This aroma is interesting a little on the light side but ok. Flavour is very nutty with mild hops, slight coffee; malts are smooth and rich with a slight caramel flavour. Taste is very rich and complex I can see myself drinking a ton of this.

I had to open 2 bottles just to get in the review cause I like it so much I just pounded it.
Gots me a huge rocky, light tan crown that simmered to just above a skim for both glass fulls. Brilliant clear red / copper brew with light patchy lacing. The aroma is strong and very appealing with its thick, rich and fragrant caramel hops, almonds (thx pootz, dead on) and mild hops. Taste is also on the rich side with lots of caramel malts but that goes hand in hand with the perfect ammount of piney hops and slight nuttiness - a good balance indeed. Light medium bodied, smooth carbonation and finishes nicely with a suprisingly bitter aftertaste. An excellent brew. -

Decentish brew. Nice reddish colour and decent aroma. Little bit of carbination. Decent attack, with a touch of hops and some bite. Decent finish. Decent.

Poured a reddish-copper color, clear and bright with a decent frothy 2 finger cap wich laced the glass. Modest carbonation. Aroma of Caramel, some sweetness, almonds, warrior hops (on long boil leave a light "soapy" smell) Hearty body, good malt spine, silky texture, mellow character Rich caramel malts in the front side, some nut and cocoa tones finishes wet and bittering with piney-citrus tastes. Very well put together red ale, I like it and I'm not all that partial to ales.
