Not much character to this. Like a red, its sour. Other than that there's not not much to hang onto, even for an amber. Nice name, not much flavor. I added belgian candi and columbus hops powder to finish mine, otherwise I might have dumped it.

Bright amber pour with a foamy head and solid lacing. Mild aroma of caramel and bread. Lighter in body than some ambers and balanced. Flavor had some butter and a slightly sour twang which seemed to interfere with a pleasant nutty, caramel base.

I really like the burnt amber color of this beer but the lack of head and lacing is kind of a let down. Aroma is a little sweet with malts and fruits. A very grassy and earthy flavor with toasted finish. The mouthfeel does make it very drinkable but with all the other beer out there the flavor just isn't enough to bring me back.

Another brew from phishpond. This one is a bit hazy amber with a thin white head leaving a creamy ring and very little lacing. Toasted malts upfront in the aroma with a noticeable hops presence. Taste is hoppier than expected with before mentioned toasted malts that are slightly sweet. Nice finish - thanks Travis.

poured from a bottle and ha a toasted red color with a very thin white head that clung to the edges. the taste was toasted malts with a butter finsh. there are hints of an earthyness to this. to me this is a beer I could sit around and drink all day. very drinkable brew!

Pours a clear reddish amber colour with a noticeably small white head. Aroma is sweet with a twist of caramel and apples. Taste is smooth, with dry bready, biscuity malt flavors.++ 21 February 2009 update- A very noticeable biscuity character. Soft grassy flavour, floral hop notes in the finish. I'm so glad I found this in bottles down here in Madtown. :)
