Ommegang and HBO® announce the newest beer in the Game of Thrones® collaboration series. Through its first three seasons, the critically acclaimed drama has become the biggest show on HBO. Named after the motto of House Targaryen, Fire and Blood is inspired by Daenerys Targaryen and her three dragons, Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion. To celebrate the rebirth of dragons, three different labels were created by the Game of Thrones visual effects specialists, each depicting one of Daenerys' feared dragons. Randomly distributed amongst the cases, each case will contain all three bottles. On sale March 31, in time for the debut of Season 4, Fire and Blood makes for the perfect season premiere pairing. The beer is available in 750ml bottles and 1/6 barrel kegs.

Oops, a bit late on this one as best before is 02/19/2016 as forgot in the cellar. Celebrating review 3000... woot !! Pours a hazy deep amber colour with lots of particles through it. Big beige head, good retention and thick creamy-foamy lacing. Toasted malt aromas with caramel and some dark fruit notes. The taste also starts with the toasted malts, going through some fruitiness and some hops appear in the finish. A pretty nice, higher-end red ale.

Wine bottle-sized offering from BCLDB Willowbrook. Ruby pour, maybe the biggest head ever exploded into the glass, pour after pour, and seemed to last forever. Aroma of malt and maybe pepper. Malt flavour, mercifully not all that sweet, plus a spicy component as well. Good on the mouthfeel, spicy finish. Certainly nice enough but nothing I'd make a habit of.

Pours a huge foamy, bubbly head and has a dark rusty amber appearance. Thick patchy lacing. Aromas of earthy hops. Flavours of barley malts, nutty and sweet malts as well. Some notes of earthy and resin hops. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is fairly astringent and tingly but also creamy as well.

Brown ale in colour. Nice bubbly head and large amounts of lacing. Aroma is like a red ale with Belgium yeast and spices. Flavour is much the same as the aroma plus some oak and fruits. Mouthfeel is smooth with medium carbonation. Overall not a bad beer, whatever style it is. What’s next?

Pours a rich, clear mahogany with a very thick - though not too persistent - pale buff head. Malty aroma has notes of caramel, horehound and cinnamon. Lively flavor starts with a malty core and adds woody, cinnamon and horehound plus a touch of caramel. Texture is not viscous, but has some good fizz. Drag(on) yourself to the nearest venue that has this on tap.

Pours a very dark golden brown with armed hue. The aroma is of malt, fruit and spice. The mouthfeel feel is rich and smooth. The taste is sweet malt, light hops, butter and nuts. Overall a better fine brew.

Hard to classify this. It's technically red/amber in color...but also has belgian yeast...and is also spiced with ancho chili peppers (though they are very very subtle, especially on the palate). Nice combo of belgian spice, rye, carmel, and light chili. Not a fantastic beer, but pretty nice throughout.

A brownish amber colored beer with a VERY big sudsy textured beige-white head rising above. Excellent hang time on the head. Thick splotches of film and a ringlet are left behind. Nose is more muted, but the total profile is fruit sweetness and rye spiciness. Light medium bodied and easy to drink.
