Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer's malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

A medium bodied beer that is quite honest in character. Not a lot of complexity, not do I usually expect that with a beer of this type. Goes down really easy and has a great flavor.

Aroma is malty and sweet with fresh bready overtones as well as some doughy aromas and some faint musty hops. Appearance is a very deep, golden in color with a very large and fuzzy (bubbly) head on top that remains and dissipates to light lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and of complex maltiness with some fresh citrus hoppiness with a palate that is clean and very crisp and wet-like and coats well. Flavor is a bit citrusy and of caramelized malt with good caramelized malt character with an aftertaste that is fresh and doughy with some hard water with a finish that is hoppy and slightly sour and full of flavor. Overall, great example of the style.

Poured a light yellow color, okay head and okay lacing. Aroma was sweet. Flavor was malty sweet and grassy hops, not what i expected. Not bad but really not anything just there. Ho Hum.

Bottle. Poured a clear, yellow color with a light white head. No lacing. Sweet, slightly hoppy aroma. Nice, full mouthfeel, especially for a lager. I'm not a big lager fan, but this is a pretty good one. Crisp flavor with a nice maltiness to it. Slight citrusy aftertaste. Solid.

I was really quite happy with this beer. Hazy golden body is topped by a white foam. The aroma is actually hoppy, a good bit of noble character, but the slight citrusy lean of the hops is explained by the American grown nobles. The body has a nice straw malt backbone supported nicely by a crisp hop tingle and firm bitterness. A really excellent lager.

I got six of these in a variety case, so I may have to return to this review. It poured a nice golden copper color, but not much head. Aroma was a little sweet and slightly hoppy. Body is light-medium and finish is not very strong. This would probably make a great beer for someone who is used to drinking cheap swill because the flavors are delicate and it's easy to drink.

Tap at Dulles Airport. Nice looking clear golden colour with a slim white head. Sweet, malty and fruity aroma with a touch of honey. Sweet and fruity taste with some herbal hops and a touch of honey again. Medium bodied. A nice complex and impressive intrepretation.

Medium gold color. Small head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet. A medium bodied dortmunder/helles. Malts are mild, slightly sweet and a touch fruity. Hops are mild as well. Spicy and citrusy, but not very bitter. This is a very well balanced beer. It smooth as silk and very clean tasting. Nice ‘lager’. Excellent gateway beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured golden color with small head, little lacing. Not much going on for aroma. This is a nice, smooth lager. It lacks a little bit of punch. Has a sweet taste (which I haven't experienced in many other lagers) and even has a hint of caramel. Not a lot of hop presence. Not bitter at all.

Poured a very clear and crisp golden color and was true to the light Helles style it is listed as here on BP. Very sweet aroma with a light touch of hops, both of which come out in the flavor. The straw-like / grassy aftertaste I don't enjoy in my lagers / pislners was subtle but present. Pretty boring, but not a bad working / summer thirst quencher.
