All Others Pale - as in 'All Others Pale By Comparison' - is our cheeky take on an American tradition, but naturally with a Danish touch. It is a well-balanced, light-bodied thirst quencer, perfect after a hard day's work or on hot summer days...but loads of fresh green hops and a subtle malty background make this pale ale the refreshing choice year 'round!

cereal malt, with bright aromatic citrusy hops. light to medium bodied and refreshing. i liked this one better than the stateside ipa side by side. still a bit overpriced for a 3.6.

I'm beginning to love Mikkeller beers. Colour - golden orange, tan head. Aroma - citrus, grainy malt. Mouthfeel - good body. Flavour - grainy malt, fruity sweet, citrus. Overall - an excellent beer.

Pours a dark orange with a low low head. Hops and pine aroma. The first sip was a bit wild, but it mellowed pretty quickly and became a well balance flavor of citrus and pepper. Nice!

pours a dark tan colour, light murk, with a grade A foam edition, great great lacing.. . very easy to drink but no real sweetness .. needs more backing to it .. what have i told you about swapping sexual favours for cough syrup.. . also maybe slightly needs more complexity..you'll get nothing and like it! ..Overall: nice to try but at $10 for a bomber, not really worth it in this day and age, but still good .. ozzy osbourne and his entire family really need to die in a horrible car wreck ...

This poured an orange color. The aroma contains quite a bit of citrus, some honey, and perfume. The flavor is quite bitter with some oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and pine. The finish is bitter but has a malt presence to it as well. Overall this was a nice APA.

This American Pale ale pours a medium amber brown color from a 50cl bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is piney hops and caramel malts. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are piney and citrusy. Very aggressively hopped for an APA, yet despite all the bitterness there is a nice malt backbone. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Bottle: Poured a deep dirty beige color ale with a large foamy off-white head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of bitter and lightly citrus hops is interesting. Taste is a refreshing mix between a nice caramel malt base with some well balance bitter and citrus hops. Full body with great carbonation. Really well balance and very refreshing – I wouldn’t mind having access to this beer year long.

What looks to be a best by date on the cap of December 2009; Sampled June 2008
A healthy pour yields a frothy, initially three finger thick, tan colored head in my 25cl tulip glass. The head forms some light lacing on the sides of my glass as it subsides. The beer is a clear, amber-copper color that shows a brilliantly clear, full copper color when held up to the light. The aroma has a punchy herbal hop character noticeable as I pour this brew, but that becomes much more fruit focused when I stick my nose in my glass. Punchy, smooth, tropical fruit notes and sweet citrus character contribute hop aromas of lychees, apricot, bergamot, candied ruby-red grapefruit zest and bright tangelo. There is a quite noticeable malt character here as well; it intertwines with the more dominant hop notes, but is definitely quite noticeable throughout the aroma profile. Toasty pale malt, crisp - crushed cracker notes and light biscuit grain notes are quite noticeable. I really like the punchy, fruit focused hop character that the nose has & the malt adds a nice touch of complexity.Much lighter in heft than I was expecting; this is quite light bodied, though I wouldn't quite characterize it as thin or watery. The beer has a distinct, phenolic note of burnt plastic, that while subtle, still lingers throughout the flavor profile during my first sip. The note turns to a more solvent, or acetone like note that gets somewhat magnified in the finish and becomes a very vapor-driven, aromatic flavor. Grassy, herbal notes seem to be accentuated by this off flavor during the front part of each sip, but it causes the herbal notes to take on a sharp, almost harsh edge. Don't get me wrong though, this beer is dominated by clean hop notes; a nice, nay ample bitterness runs throughout (especially in the finish) and there is lots of ample fruity hop character here. Flavors of apricot, lychee and bright orange zest are substantial, but not as over the top as they might be if the beer had a bit more body and sweetness. In the end though the plastic / acetone flavor is just a bit too much for me.
The nose of this beer is quite nice with no hint of the problem flavor notes. Even the flavor is not totally dominated by these notes (many will probably miss the off flavors), but since I have noticed them they become particularly distracting to my enjoyment of the flavor.

Courtesy of changeup45 (southern coronas) via beer trade. Pours a slight hazy orange-amber with a nice frothy head leaving lots of lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts and an abundance of citrus-grapefruit hops. Taste is tilted more towards the hops with a backbone of malts.

Pours an orange color, moderate sized head with a nice grapefruit hoppy aroma. A lot of grapefruit hops in the flavor as well, a little citrusy with quite a bit of bitterness considering this is a Pale Ale. Light malt backing but not a lot, which doesn't bother me. A very nice Pale Ale that really has enough flavor to compete with some IPAs.
