Drank this same evening as the Noble Pils. Somehow being a lager I still taste a hint of the wet dog, and the aroma wet paper bag of most Mendo brews. The color was uninspiring, the aroma flat. It went well with crab, but so does ice tea. Purchased within 150 miles of the brewery, I hoped for more. Not offensive by any means, but not worth drinking again.

one of their better brews these days (maybe still)...nice interplay with the malt and hop characteristics. bready/earthy malts, bittering hops, decent aroma...refreshing but unspectacular.

Pours a clear copper with a thin, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is mostly sweet malt but with a hint of citrus. Taste is similar--malty, caramel--but with a nice clean finish. Overall, not a bad beer that I would be willing to try again.

Pour was a super deep, bright gold with smallish head and some lacing. A sweet syrupy aroma and also some hoppage. The flavor was very sweet with a syrupy mouthfeel with a grassy hop bite finish to try to keep this from being a malt-bomb. I’m not sure it succeeded.

After having a bad run in with some serious DMS a few weeks ago, now if there's even a low level of the stuff it seems like it's packed full of it. This was the case here with this beer, although the levels were a bit more manageable. A vegetative nose with some caramel sweetness as the DMS dissipates. The beer is amber in color with a nice creamy one-finger thick head. Flavors had a strange earthy/grassy character that really didn't sit well with what I like. Not something I'd likely revist.

Pours a copper color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is malty, bready and sweet. Has a clean finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and light, makes it easy to drink.

This beer pours a translucent copper colour with a small, thin off white head. Plenty of carbonation, colour is attractive and vibrant. Retention is mediocre, mouthfeel is lighter. Aroma is pleasent, soft honey, carmel and full of bright hop character. Taste is slightly biscuity, with flavors of caramel, grapes and pecans.

This bock beer pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head, that quickly dissipates with some lacing. The aroma is caramel and sweet with hints of fruit, mainly orange and pineapple. A medium bodied Heller Bock. The malts are biscuit and toffee with lots of sweet fruitiness. The hops are earthy and a touch floral. Nice balance. The carbonation is full and kind of soft. Starts off sweet and finishes slightly bitter. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

First, new, product from these guys for me in a while and given it is such a nice Spring day, I decided to try this one. Aroma is very malty sweet as well as caramelization with some faint toastiness and some faint hops. Appearance is a amber in color when held to the light with a medium-sized head on top that is creamy and off-white in color and leaves nice lacing. Mouthfeel is smooth and light to medium-bodied with big malt complexity with a whisp balance of hops with a palate that is wet-like and well-rounded. Flavor is chewy and malty with some sweetness and caramel with an aftertaste that is clean and crisp and a finish that is perfect for a warm day. Overall, not a bad brew here at all and good for certain times of years, recommended...

There are displays of this stuff in more than one place in Total Wine so I figured I'd give it a try. Pours a dark gold or amber color with a thick foamy off-white head. A lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral with bready malts and perhaps a touch of caramel but most of it is rather subtle. Medium-bodied, clean and refreshing. The flavor starts with some caramel malt with hops staying in the background. It finishes with a touch of bitter hops. Didn't wow with flavor but there's enough there to make it a solid beer. I didn't know what to expect with this and in the end I am pleased. Give it a try.
