Our amber-colored ale has a rich malty flavor, a smooth taste and a hoppy aroma finish. It is brewed with a large amount of Crystal Malts which are roasted to add flavor and color to this ale. Named in recognition and memory of Sonoma’s New Albion Brewing Co., Which opened in 1976 and was the first commercial micro-brewery since prohibition.

a nutty roasted amber...like something between an american amber and an irish red. good body and nice lingering finish. i liked the flavor, even though i'd prefer more hops and malt and less nut.

Pours out a clear dark amber color with a minimal sized head. Aroma was sweet malts with an underbelly of spices. Flavors were more malts, roasted nuts, and a slight unpleasant astringency. This is clearly a malt vehicle as I couldn't pick up anything that resembled hops. That's okay though. I doubt it would have gotten a higher score because the malts were so dominating.

Pours very nice, with a thick dark amber, brown color. Has a ton of head. Took about 20 minutes to pour the entire bottle. Aroma is kind of nonexistent. mouthfeel is fair and smooth. Flavor is strong and more malty than most ambers. Overall a very good beer.

Dark brown color, medium head. Roasted malts, medium hopped. Nice flavor, very smooth malts, nice hop character. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly malty with some bitterness.

Pours a nice deep brown, with an eggshell white head that is quite nice. A malty possibly spicy aroma. A much interesting taste. Has a burnt walnut thing happening with all the big malt flavor. Kind of has some sweetness to it in the aftertaste, bad aftertaste.

Bottle. Clear amber color with smallish head. Taste was a bit sour maltiness with mild tastes of cherry, malt and chocolate. Nothing too exciting but still better than most.
