Much of the Restaurant's character and success can be attributed to Brendan's late partner Craig Tasley. Marin Brewing Company is located at 1809 Larkspur Landing Circle, in the Larkspur Landing Shopping Center in Larkspur, California, 94939. Brewing locally and winning globally, Marin Brewing Company is a brewery, pub and restaurant offering the highest quality brews. All the beers are produced at our on-site brewery with all natural ingredients (barley malts, wheat malt, hops, yeast, honey, spices, raspberries, blueberries and water) without adjuncts such as cereal, rice or fillers. "Recent developments in the American beer market indicate that specialty beers are gaining acceptance rapidly," says Brendan Moylan. "A definite demand for beers which are more distinctive and generally more flavorful than those of the American mainstream has revived the long time micro-brewing tradition." Prior to prohibition it was common for each town to have its own brewery or brewpub. In 1873 there were 4131 breweries, an all time high for the United States. This came to an abrupt halt with prohibition in 1920. In 1982 California law was changed to allow breweries to sell their products from their on-site taverns if the taverns were also legitimate restaurants. In the past 30 years over 1,500 micro-breweries and brewpubs have been built all over America, especially on the west coast. These small breweries have sprung up to challenge the giants. What these tiny breweries have in common is a deep commitment to produce excellent beer. Each brewery strives to produce more flavorful and full-bodied beers that show off the quality of its ingredients and the character of its brewer. It is this trend that is referred to as the "American Brewing Renaissance." We invite you join us at Marin Brewing Company to take part in the Renaissance. Come sample our fine ales and our savory food. Brendan is available for interviews.
