Like the old Porters of Ireland, our Porter is super rich and velvety. It is deep brown in color, with richly roasted and chocolately flavors. Like all Marin Brewing Co. ales, this contains no preservatives is not heat-pasturized.

    Looks like it's pouring thin but then the head gets quite creamy and the dark brown is impenatrable. Smells pretty typical, roast notes, coffee, that's about it. Flavor is also pretty typical but porters aren't really a wow type of a style.

    From Firefly. Poured seriously dark, almost black, beneath a creamy tan head of no great thickness; this did not stay very long. Not a lot for the nose here, maybe some roasted malt. Taste was delicious, with coffee, the malt, and perhaps dark chocolate at play. Nice dry finish.

    the flavor of this porter is standard for the style, but more assertive, which is nice. above average, nice, full mouthfeel. a recommended porter...good, like most of their beers.

    Probably one of my favorite porters. Moylan and Marin brews are steadily becoming some of my favorite. Pour is frothy and dark dark brown. Mouthfeel is crisp and has a lasting chalky taste. Flavor is excellent with thick malts. A fine brew.

    This porter pours a dark brown color from a 22 ox bottle. Large sized tan foamy head, with good lacing. Aroma is chocolate, with a touch of toasty roasty malts. A medium to light bodied porter. Malts are chocolate and roasty, with a touch of burnt malt and coffee grounds. Fairly strong hop presence, piney and spicy. Lots of coffee and roasty flavors floating around in this one. Nice balance. Decent porter. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

    This beer poured with a nice thick head that lasted and left nice lacing. The beer was dark brown in appearance. It had the aroma of bitter chocolate and sweet fruit. A fruity chocolate taste was detected at the beginning followed by roasted nuts with a hint of smokiness it finished with more chocolate and slightly fruity. Somewhat light bodied for the style but very good nontheless.

    A solid muddy layer of thick head that deteriorates within the minute. Nice Dark chocolate hue for the body. Oakish nuts followed up by heavy chocolate and its almost like there is a hint of rasberry right on the tip of the nose. Very thick flavors full of nuts, chocolates, carbonation and a hint of burntness. Very rich in all of the good flavors.

    Very thick with a huge head and chocolate aroma. Chocolatey, bitter and nutty. Love to try this nitro but I've never seen it on tap.

    This porter pours with a dark brown to black body topped by a thick, light brown head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet slightly bitter and malty with a slight chocolate note and a bit of roastiness. The flavor is very similar with slight anise notes and a touch of sourness. Meidum to full bodied and smooth.
