Tasted on tap at the 8th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/9/2011. This Imperial Porter pours a mostly cloudy black color from the firkin. Small to medium sized tan head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and cherries. A medium bodied Imperial Porter. The malts are chocolate, coffee, cherry and sweet. The hops are herbal. Little to no carbonation. Nice chocolate flavors. Needs a little more cherry flavor for my taste. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
