Another average beer, 2 in a row from them. Poured an amber color with small head but nice lacing rings. Aroma was very floral and flavor was just pine hops. Not very well done at all.

I had the Iron Hill Ironbound Ale at the Newark, DE location. It poured an orange colored body with a white head. The aroma was hoppy. The taste was slightly bitter with decent hops flavor. Overall a solid beer, but nothing great.

Re-rate, 8/07 on cask: A completely different beer on draft and phenomenal at that. Appearance was continuous lacing, slow separation of head and beer, much like something on nitrogen, pretty. The aroma was citrus hops with light floral and pine notes underneath, some graininess too. The flavor followed suit, a little bready/grainy malt presence along with some yeast and a firm delicious hop finish, citrus and pine mostly. Mouthfull was full and hearty for the style, amply carbonated, and wonderful even if the temperature on this hot day was pushing all of the 60F range! One of my best ever experiences at IH Newark, the numbers reflect an average of my original and recent experiences. Original rating on draft: Snore. Another overly hopped American Pale Ale. Poured an amber to reddish color with nice lacing but a weak head. Lots of hops, not much to balance with the malts. The aroma was floral. The flavor was hoppy, floral and pine like. The mouthfeel was typical. Not memorable and some soap included (typical of the Newark Iron Hill).

Had this from a sampler at the Newark Iron Hill. Nice beautiful golden color with hoppy smell. Nice balance between citrusy flavors and bitter hops. I don't really like hoppy beers, and this one just isn't really my style, but this one isn't bad. I prefer the British pales, which don't seem as hop heavy.

A copper colored beer. This one balanced the malt and hops nicely. A big grapefruit, pine, and orange flavor. The palate was a bit thin but it was flavorful nonetheless. Good session ale.

Growler filled in Wilmington. Light brownish orange with a off white head. Hoppy aroma. Slightly citrusy. Lots of bitterness. Nice malty character. Nice american pale ale. Decent.

Cask poured a hazy golden color with a small creamy white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma initially was plastic and play doh, very strange. Finally after a few sniffs, I was getting some melon and tropical fruits. A nice light balance of hops and malts, but overall nothing spectactular.
