The Fox and Fiddle (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
20oz Draught

$5.90
The colour was a dark gold colour, translucent, with an off-white head about 2cm high. There was not a lot of aroma to speak of however. The taste was crisp with a metallic tinge to it. Nothing to write home about, but not one to avoid either.

Pours a nice gold color, frothy head and fair lace. Malty smell, some floral under tones, start is malt sweet, the middle some what thin, the finish is clean and fresh. Fair hop presence in the finish also, a nice beer.

Clean crisp taste that I would swear was a ale. Not very complex and has a smooth taste with no bitterness. Have had on tap and in the bottle and enjoyed both ways. Good to drink anytime and not just on St. Patricks day.

Draught, Bottled. Colour - clear gold, generous white head, no lacing. Aroma - barley malt, aluminum, hops. Mouthfeel - weak to watery. Flavour - very grainy, malt sweetness, hops. Overall - not as easy drinking as a North American macro, but with more cpomplexity.

porus a nice golden yellow with a nice white head which disappears quickly with just eought carbonation. It has a crips clean taste. Will say this beer tastes better in the UK then here but not by much. This is a good beer to drink while playing darts.

I did enjoy this brew and I dont go for lagers at all. This was part of a brew master pack that was called Irish Beer, with Guiness draught and Smithwicks, the Guiness family. This lager was refreshing and to me was quite tasty and evenly balanced. There was no bitter and no over hopped brew. It was golden in color and easy in the mouth. After taste was like "lucky charms." I definitely would go for this again.

This beer gets straight 6's because it is an average lager. I didn't think the beer was bad and I would get it again in a bar. I cannot believe that it took me so long to have this. In any event, the lager is crisp and clean. A great choice if you are at a bar without a lot of options.

Pours a solid white head with a good deal of lace. The appearance is a light golden yellow with minimal carbonation the taste however, is grassy with a tin aftertaste. Nothing special.

Aroma of grass and a hint of biscuit, with a one-finger head and little lacing. Light-bodied, with slightly bitter, wheat and biscuit flavor. Wishlist Chekov from 10/4/2009.

A good crisp lager. But it lacks complexity in its aroma and flavor. This beer smells "beery" and tastes "beery." I miss some complex malt or hop flavors and aromas. It is a very crisp and clean lager that is enjoyable. I will drink it again but I won't go out of my way for it.
