Steller! No information is available on the ABC website, but the beer wench at ABC-Harrisburg gave me the low-down. It was originally brewed last year with some leftover hops, yeast, etc. and the brewmasters were given carte-blanche to brew a no-holds-barred beer that was roughly 6%-7% ABV. It was a huge hit, so they brewed it again this year... apparently someone kept the recipe. Regardless, it is truly outstanding. Also, story is the ABV is 6.66%. It's a dark "stout" although I'd hate to pigeon-hole it to much further than that. It is thick and creamy rich with a coffee, chocolate, vanilla aroma and flavor that are certainly A-list. Despite all of that it still doesn't drink too heavy. It was so good that I took a growler of the stuff to go and share with a few others around whom I have come to realize appreciate good beer. 10s across the board, some may say? For me, its that good.
