British crystal malts give this beer its distinctly deep amber body and nutty aroma that persist throughout the glass. The soft underlying hop bitterness is tempered with the flowery aroma of the U.K. Golding hop. Like its namesake, Bulldog Amber Ale is tough on the exterior with a soft disposition, so it's a great introduction to Half Pints.

It's amber all right. A nice amber pour, cloudy, with a 1" light brown head. The aroma is caramel malt, floral hops, and nuts. The flavour is bread, nuts, caramel, and citrus. Very good beer.

Pours a light amber-orange with a small off-white head that disappears rapidly, leaving very little lacing. Aroma is bready with a little sweetness and nuts evident. Taste is similarly bready; some earthiness and sweet malts as well. Easy drinking but kind of plain.

341ml twist top bottle: Puts a murky amber orange ale in the glass with a massive rocky white head that reduces to a 1 finger tight cap which lasts and laces, Soft carbonation and unfiltered. Aroma is very pleasant cookie dough with toffee and some grassy mustiness. Wonderful crystal malt toffee tones in front are quickly met with wonderful apricot fruitiness and a herbal hoppiness, soft carbonate mouth feel, finishes wet and lightly fruity-sweet with the dry hop golding "tang" balancing it. Great flavorful quencher. Well done!

Oh dear gawd I don’t know what went wrong how old is this bottle? Can’t find any date on it, did I not rinse my glass of a pound of soap why does this smell so bad. Appearance is acceptable light copper with a very thick very long lasting crown but wholly crist the smell is repulsive. Extrem sour with lots of soap, a touch of chocolate maybe, dam this is almost making me want to puke! Mouth feel is ok but a touch thin. At least it tatse better then it smells but still this nothing I realy want to drink. Woody sour malts, a touch of caramel, a litle watery and the soap continues in the flavor. Why is this so bad and why does no one elles review sound like mine? I don’t think this was a true representation of the beer but I can’t explain what went wrong.

Poured out a good ammount of very light tan fizz that lives only as a skim and leaves nice looking spotty lacing on top of the standard hazy dark amber coloured brew. The aroma is nice but does come across on the weak side nearing the bottom half of my glass. The aroma is mainly of soft slightly sweet fruit and floral notes, some bready malts and background nuttiness. The taste comes across with the hops being grapefruity and lemon but the hop spice and piney flavour is more prominent especially after its been in the glass for awhile. The malts are a bit weak but decent enough. There is also a slight sour note. The mouthfeel is ok with good carbonation, sort of smooth, soft malt middle, medium bodied and has a nice malt finish with some bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of Piscator34: Poured a deep amber reddish color ale with a medium dirty white head with good retention. Aromas of citrus hops are well balance with nutty malt. Taste is refreshing with sweet nutty malt with a nice bitter finish. Body is above average and I appreciated the low filtering. Probably one of the best amber beers I’ve had (not a style that is usually know to produce real gem though).

It has a hoppy taste to it. Slightly bitter aftertaste. One of the better amber's I've had in my young brewing career.
