Grabbed in the winter variety pack. For 75 cents per beer, really can't beat this on clearance. Reminds me of a brown ale. Maybe a little thicker and heavier as the black lager, but not as dark in malt. Medium to darker brown appearance. Mostly caramel malts with some light spices. Like a darker winter lager. A nice change of pace, or good dinner pairing, but I prefer their stouts.

Wow! picked this up in a variety pack. Very nice ale, did not know guinness made any ales -glad they made this one. Nice aroma, beauty of color, just right in the body . Glad i have 2 more of these, i might put one up for later.

A fairly typical amber type ale. Bready toasty slightly spicy hopped red. Not sure why this is a winter pack price. Luckily found a single not a 12 pack :)

Ruby/ brown body, the head disappates to a medium sized ring around the glass. Random spotty lace, faint aromas of caramel malts, and some veggie hops. Mouth is light and crisp. kinda refreshing. Flavors lean towards the malts, caramel and toast, with a slight hops bite on the backside. Overall not bad, but i wont buy another winter 12 pack to get it again.
