Released in the fall of 2006, this was our first seasonal ale. However, the incredible response prompted us to make it available all year long on draught and in 473 ml cans. Brewed with 6 select malts and 4 premium hops, it has a rich mahogany colour, reminiscent of early English pale ales. The wonderful hoppy aroma is revealed even before your first sip, followed by a hearty malty body, and culminating with a pronounced bitterness. Prepare yourself for a devilishly good time...

Pours a large frothy beige head and has a murky, dark amber appearance. Looks like dirty rusty water, devil's pale ale it seems. Has aromas of earthy hops and nutty malts. Flavours seem to have a bit of toffee and light chocolate hints but mainly some bitter type earthy hops. Also some hints of toasty malts. Medium bodied. Average retention. Fairly smooth sensation and slightly astringent on the palate. Pretty good stuff.

What attracted me to this beer was pretty much just the big 666 on the can. Always up for a little evilness muahahaha! after a long long loooong time I decide to taste it. Pours a reddish color with a bubbly tanned head. It's a pleasant bitter beer. Nice caramel flavor, very hoppy that stick around on the tongue. Nice Carbonation. Overall, it's a good beer.

Can into a pint glass, thanks to a trade with korguy123 . Poured a golden amber with a large off-white head which dissapates into a coating. Lacing was light but present as thin micro bubbles. Nose is roated nuts , some grain and sweet malt. Taste was some caramel, earthy malts, a metallic bitterness, sweet malts and a nice dry finish. Creamy, the carbonation was light, as was the feel. The ABV is not obvious. A decent beer but not one I would go out of my way to have again.

Pours a deep brown with reddish hues with a medium size vanilla colored head. The head looks creamy and has okay retention leaving some spotty lacing on the glass. Very complex aroma consisting of some strong roasted malts with a touch of caramel. flavour starts out malty and transition to a nice bitter hop finish. Dark fruit, caramel and a good roasted character. Thin to medium mouthfeel with low carbonation.

Oh yeah... the brew of the devil. The big 666 on the can is quite eye-catching. On the back of the can, says "The devil made me brew it !"... nice. Pours a copper colour with a nice creamy off-white head that has decent retention and lacing all-over. Reminds me a lot of the Pump House red ale I just had with it's look, taste and smell. The aroma is fruity, with some dark malt, burnt wood and brown sugar. Medium mouthfeel with not much carbonation. Quite a nice full taste with some roasted malt, coffee, nuts, dark fruits, caramel and great hop in the finish. Very well-blended and hope they keep this one. A funky project that gave a great result !

This beer pours a orangy-brown colour with a white head. The aroma is mainly caramel malts with some hops. The flavour profile is more hops than malt, a very drinkable beer.

First, allow me to write what is on the side of the can

    666 kilograms of malt
    6.66 kilograms of hops
    66.6 minutes of boiling
    6% alc/vol
    6.6.06 Date of Conception

This beer pours a translucent dark red, it was beautiful. The head is generous, tan in colour, and lasts a few minutes. The aroma is sweet malt, a little hops, and a faint touch of licorice. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, slightly creamy, and mildly carbonated. The flavour is very hoppy with a lot of juicy citrus notes, and balanced nicely by the caramel notes in the malt..

After my review, through 6 reviews, the beer's score is 3.333, not bad for a "Devil's" Pale Ale

I wasn't expecting an American pale ale when I poured it, but then I didn't really read the back of the can. No matter, this style is easily one of my favourites so I'm not going to complain about the unexpected. Deep copper colour, finger width tan cap. There's alot going on in the aroma - roasty malts, sweet hops, earthen fruits. Mouth is medium and very smooth. Taste starts off rather malty and adds some citrus and spice, gradually growing towards the tasty bitter hops. Quite enjoyable.

Can: Poured a deep dark brown color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some nice lacing. Aroma of dry malt with some medium notes of caramel malt. Taste is also dominated by some medium caramel malt with a slightly bitter ending. Hops presence was more subdued then what I had expected with some medium carbonation. Interesting but not necessarily something I would go back to very often.
