It pours a dark orange and light-amber with a thick white head and copious lacing. An aroma of light caramel malts, robust hops, pine, grapefruit and orange, wild grasses, light bitterness, and some spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, pine, grapefruit and orange, bread and biscuits, bitterness, and light spiciness. Good!

a better aroma than their english pale attempt. a little better but still not the one i'd pick off the shelf. for their good stuff, go for the IIPA or the reserve Porter.

Pours light copper/gold color with a nice head. Aroma is floral/piney hops with hints of honey. Taste is slightly sweet and malty with citrus, piney bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, clean, dry.

This is trulya Wonderful American style pale ale to be compared along side 'mirror pond' from deschutes. Very Crisp in Flavor and a nice hoppy finish. I love this pale ale and can drink it all the time.

Another excellent offering from a former US Marine. I feel however, that this is hopped and floral enough to be an IPA. I thoroughly enjoyed this but it just didn't tast all that pale to me.

About what I expected based on having the Double-Barrel more than a few times. This would be a great session beer; there is no problem drinking these all night long. Smells very floral with some hints of hops stuck in the bouquet. Leaves a very pale yellow head (like a peeled banana) atop an amply carbonated light amber beer. Tastes very malty, and leaves some slight bitterness in the rather dry beer. Grows very smooth and mellow as it warms. For the money, Firestone is one of the better beers that can be found just about anywhere.

Aroma is more malty than hoppy which is interesting first off but does offer some sweetness and some faint acidic overtones as well as some toffee and caramel. Appearance is a light-orange in color when held to the light with a medium-sized head on top that is bubbly and white as well as fuzzy and remains on top. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with medium malt character with some nice hoppy complexity and character with a palate that is dry and good. Flavor is of grapefruit and hoppiness with a nice chewy bite of maltiness in the aftertaste with a finish that is clean and bitter. Overall, pretty good brew here and will be even better to drink as the Summer months roll around.

Pour a gold color medium head. SMell of flowers and hops. Had a sweet taste to it yet citruisy. Moutfeel isn't thin Finished dry. Overall not a bad pale ale.

This was my first exposure to Firestone Walker ales, and I must say it definately did not make a good first impression. The hoppiness was masked by a mustiness, that I first atributed to perhaps a dirty tap -- but noticed the same thing later on while tasting this from a bottle. Oxidized? Old? Funky? I'm not sure.... But there are so many other better pale ales than this one. //TB

Deep orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral hops with a touch of fruity sweetness. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Kind of a cross between an English and American Pale Ale. Mild malts, yet fairly assertive hops. Nice session beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
