I love that first effervescent nose burp the best.

I had one last night for the first time in a while and drank it next to a Spitfire. This is a good ale but the spitfire is smoother. This was stouter and more bitter. More flavor.

This is a great English ale and should be rated higher. It's also from the last of the Kentish big brewers. I've had this in both England and America. Brilliant.

Hard to argue with the prevailing opinion on this tasty brew. Burly hop bitterness but judisiously bitter without ruining it or making it one sided. Pretty dang good.

I read where jonmoore from the UK said this is not a session beer. He and I differ on that opinion but definitely agree that this is a class beer from start to finish.

150 words about this stuff is going to be a challenge. I think this tastes like sickly sweet beer syrup.I quite simply guzzled this to not have to taste it. I guess this proves I'm not a barley wine guy. The biggest shame is I really like the name,Foghorn.
