Pours dark brown with a nice tan head, of which a very small layer sticks around. Minimal amount of lacing. Swells sweet malty. Flavour is nice with lots of sweet maltiness to start, some roastiness and it transitions into a nice bitter finish. Big mouthfeel with low carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Not bad at all.

This beer is shit brown with a tan coloured head that doesn;t linger. The aroma is weakly roasted malt and a hint of toffee. The flavour is slightly sweet with the roasted malt coming through.

Dark brown in colour, thin wispy beige coloured head, some light spotty lacing. The aroma has some caramel malt sweetness and is slightly roasty but is overpowered by the alcohol. The flavour is pretty much all alcohol, slight metallic notes, some caramel and roast, good malt backbone, lots of sweetness. Hot mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes quite sweet with the alcohol left out in the open. Definitely not the best beer to come out of Denmark.

Dark brown colour with a great foamy head that lasted nicely but did not lace down the glass and was very lightly carbonated. Aroma of roasted malts with a touch of hops.Mouthfeel is very good, smooth and goes down easily. Bit of a metallic taste but the major taste is sweet and a little watery with a dry finish. I'm pretty impressed with this although that may have to do with the fact that i'm not well versed in this style. I'll definately be looking for more of this style.

Nice dark brown color, a small stable top. Aroma is maltish, and there's a lot of caramel in it. Taste is quite good, some coffee and caramel bitterness. Aftertaste is great, leaves various taste elements in Your mouth. The best Faxe.

pours a dark brown with a decent sized white that left great lacing through out the brews life... smell consisted of sweet malts. the taste was of malts, sugar and caramel (i spose that the caramel contributes to the sugar!) there are also some nice hops that appear towards the end that give the brew a nice little bitterness... highly enjoyable! i'll keep getting these as long as my beer store keeps getting them in!! :) that goes with the Holsten Festbock as well... :)

Pours a soil coloured brown, not really any head. Mouthfeel very watery, light, airy. Macro character. Sampled in a tasting and when paired against some good craft bocks, this prooves itself evidently weak. Some cola like flavour (not bad if this was something other than beer) with some alcohol that peeks through at the finish. No ingredients but water evident in the taste. They've added some flavouring, but what? It's like a standard macro lager with 'dark beer' flavour/colouring added. It is refreshing, in no way repulsive, but just painfully poor in quality.

Came in a 1/2 liter can...labled as a "festive bock" No date code or best before. Pours a crystal clear brownish red (light cola color) with a chunky light tan cap that settles down fairly quick and does not lace or ring the glass. Low carbonation. Beer was not very lively in the glass and if you looked at it after it had been poured and settled for a few minutes for the first time you'd swear it was flat. Weak aromas in this beer for such a dark beer.... hints of malt and some sweetness with the alcohol very subdued (for a 7.7% beer!) Started with a large full mouthfeel!?(unexpected for a beer that had so little nose to it) ...big malt and sweetness then a slight hint of hop is detenctable then the finish is more balanced with the hops detctable at the end and a distinct dry, hop after taste. Not a bad dark beer at all but watery, nothing distinct about it either and certainly not for those who like an all malt bock with a nice lasting cap......another thing I noticed is the alcohol in this beer is well hidden yet doesn't provide the immediate "warming" effect that you ususally get in these high test beers....more like it crashes down on you after you had a couple...very easy drinking beer with a time released "kick"....watch it ...and have fun.

dark bordeaux colour with a nice head, smells like blood and metal, thick and very malty, sweet with a bitter finish - quite hard to drink and just average for me

Poured a brownish-red colour, like that of a cola. Sudsy bubbly head which thinned out quite quickly. Roasty smell with a hint of sweetness, also similar to a coke. Full in the mouth with little taste at first, culminating with a very roasty aftertaste and a medium finish.
