Had as Oktoberfest. Pours clear golden with a thick but effervescent head. Aroma offers crisp fruity and malty notes. Flavor features more fresh malt than pear and apple character, average but tasty. Body presents typical body and fizz. Average all around, but good for partying - and is that not what Oktoberfest is all about? Prost!

A murky orange colored beer with a decent sudsy textured, white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a moderate ringlet. A wheat grainy nose. Loads of gentle spices and banana in the tasting. Creamy and effervescent. Easy to drink.

Decent interpretation of the style...no frills, and perhaps a bit on the light/thin side, but otherwise enjoyable. Bready and sweet, with a touch of noble hops and bubble gum yeast, just a little lighter than i like the style.

12oz bottle -
Decent, but I'd hate to give this to someone and tell them that this is a representative of the Oktoberfest beer that they enjoy each year in Germany. It lacks flavor, it lacks aroma. It starts out with a blast of bubblegum aroma then smoothes into some pilsner-ish aroma. Flavor has a minimal approach to the malt profile, and it really reminds me of a weak hefeweizen or a light pils. Blah... -

Bottle(s) at Oktoberfest @ Bearden Beer Market. Clear honey colored pour, white head, some lacing. Lightly hopped and grassy aroma, a touch of sweet and earth hops, very much like the newer Festbiers produced for the masses at Oktoberfest. Pleasant enough if not a tad thin, lightly hopped and some lemongrass in the flavor, tough of sweet malts. Very easy to drink, which is the intended purpose.

Not really an Oktoberfest in my opinion. More like a pilsner. On tap at Oktoberfest 2012. Syrupy pour. Generous head. Cloudy hay color that settles to clear. Taste is grainy and nothing else. No Marzen. Skip this beer if you are looking for an Oktoberfest.

pours a clear light golden in color with decent lacing and quite fizzy in the mouth. Lots of white foam. The aroma is malty, wheaty and fruity. The taste is fairly malty, slightly fruity. The mouthfeel is pleasantly sharp with a thin body but some substance from the malt.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with a monstrous head. Aroma is bland and has a slight urine scent to it. Taste is watered down and bland with a metallic hint to it. Below average Overall, disappointing. You would think someone from Germany knows how to make a good marzen, guess not.

On tap at Melkebaren, Sandnes. Hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of cloves and other spices, hints of banana. The flavour is moderately spicy with just a hint of banana, moderate but noticeable hops. Has more going on than the "ordinary" Erdinger Hefe-Weissbier.

Oct. 2009 - Pour was golden with nice frothy head. Nondescript aroma. Flavor was nice wheaty base with mild clove and some good bubblegum sweetness. Nice.
